Spanish style 1060 sqft. Guest House w/ two beautiful bedrooms (King and Queen), a bathroom with shower, soaking tub, private toilet and washer and dryer. The bedrooms have lots of closet space and beautiful views of the patio. There is a full kitchen and dining area. The living room has a TV, NO CABLE, but DVD player and DVDs. There's wifi. The guest house has beautiful tile floor and a wrap around patio. It's tucked away on a 2.16 acre property with chickens, gardens, a pond, a peacock and outdoor kitties that love people. Property is secluded, but close to major highways and scenic backroads, making day trips to destination towns such as Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Malibu easy.
The Hacienda is supremely nestled between the magical Topa Topa mountians and the Pacific ocean. Although the property itself is tucked into a quiet, semi rural neighborhood, its proximity to major highways (Hwy 101 and Hwy 33), scenic back roads (Hwy 150) and charming towns (Ojai, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Malibu) makes the possibilities for day trips endless! From here, the world of California really is your oyster! The artsy-spiritual town of Ojai, the funky surf town of Ventura, the famed city of Santa Barbara and the quintessential beach city of Malibu can all be reached in less than an hour. Each place has its own unique character and it's own array of exceptional dining, wineries, shopping, entertainment, sports, spas and much more. For the hustle and bustle of the big city, one can head an hour and a half South to Hollywood. For a taste of the high life, one can head 1 to 2 hours North to the renowned wine regions of Solvang, Los Olivos, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. The possibilities really are endless. Within a twenty mile radius, one can do everything from mountain biking, horseback riding and camping to surfing, whale watching and fishing. One of my favorite things to do is hop on the Surf Liner train from Ventura station and ride South to San Diego or North to San Luis Obispo. The train runs along the coast and offers stunning views that can be appreciated with out the distraction and stress of driving. With all that said, once you step foot onto the tranquil oasis that is the hacienda, you probably wont want to leave... or at least go very far. There are chickens, seasonal gardens, orchards and a peacock! There are lots of hidden spots to curl up with a book, meditate or lounge with loved ones. A quaint corner market just a block away offers everything one needs for a getaway, such as snacks, toiletries, drinks and of course, champagne! After a stay at the Hacienda, one will leave feeling as serene as the slinky felines that guard the property.
