“Welcome” reads a wooden garland beside the front door. “Wipe Your Paws” flags a carved wooden bear. As these signs suggest, Western whimsy and hospitality unite in this three-bedroom Nez Perce condominium.

Fun accents abound, starting with the great room. Antique snowshoes and a Wooster Scott painting decorate the walls not occupied by windows. A river rock fireplace anchors the living area, outfitted with a couch, armchair and rocking chair. Outside – accessible by a sliding glass door – offers a sweeping view of the valley framed by a buckrail fence in the foreground. Take the panorama in on the wood deck with its table, chairs and gas grill.

The great room envelopes a dining area with a table and six chairs – all beneath an antler chandelier. Turn the corner and find the gourmet kitchen, replete with modern appliances, granite countertops and a double sink.

Down the hall, a washer/dryer is tucked inside a closet and linens lie behind a second door. The first bedroom features two twin beds with teal comforters, a closet, chest of drawers and TV. Bear photography animates the walls. A tile bathroom sits across the hall.

The master suite boasts a lodge-pole pine queen bed, large windows, ample lamps, an armchair, two chests and closets and a TV. The suite shares a full bath with the neighboring bedroom and its two twin beds, closet, TV and chest of drawers.

Most Nez Perce units come with access to the nearby Sundance Swim and Tennis Club. The condominium lies within walking distance of the lifts, boutiques, bars and restaurants that make Teton Village a bustling place year-round. From authentic Thai food to hipster woolens and high-tech gear, the Village carries everything you crave on vacation.

Very convenient location, cosy accommodation

  • 4 of 5

The vacation property was neat, just as described. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Bedrooms had good beds. We never used the sofa bed. The bathrooms had very good quality towels and toiletries.

Living room was well decorated. Wifi was intermittent but it worked well when it did. The property management was responsive.

The one downside was that the floors are really creaky above. There was a family with a kid and we heard the kid running all the time. Even when adults walked, we could hear the floors creak loudly. There aren't too many restaurants or grocery stores near by- you have to head into Jackson which is a 15 minute drive.

The sitting area outside the patio was also neat. There was a fox nearby that appearing and running around right by this property. Plenty of birds and chipmunks to keep little ones occupied.

I would assume it would make a great winter vacation for families that ski. Overall, it was a good vacation. Would have liked it if one bedroom had a king bed.
