Photos and Description of the Hulbert vacation lodge rental

Lodge has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath

First, a heart-felt thank you to all who have come to love Lakeview. It truly has become our retreat as well. We have loved and learned so much from hosting over 100 groups from church and leadership groups, company workshop training, dozens of family reunions and even a couple weddings. We are so grateful for the many lovely comments and reviews. We love interacting with you before, during and after your stay. We enjoy hearing about your experience and always look for ways to make Lakeview more special for each subsequent guest.

All of what you saw in our original description still applies, and more! More cleared yard, more flowers and landscaping, new basketball goal and volleyball, large swingset with soft mulch underneath, tire swing, 40 foot tall tree swing, huge fire pit with homemade benches.

You may have noticed odd amounts in the rates for 2017, they are a result of a slight 5% increase. We came across a quote that describes how we feel about cost and value, especially about services. The quote deals with restaurants, "A bad restaurant tries to give just enough food and service, both in quantity and quality, to justify the money it takes from the customer. A good restaurant strives to give the MOST quantity and quality for the money it takes. But a GREAT restaurant...its goal is to provide a higher quality of food and service than any amount of money could possibly pay for." The Go-Giver, 2007, Bob Burg and John David Mann. That is our true heart's desire, to make your Lakeview experience GREAT and something you will never forget and want to experience again.

We do want to say a few words about weddings. The few that we had were very small, intimate and discussed thoroughly with our guests before we agreed to allowing them. We realize we could earn significantly more as a wedding venue, but our goal is to continue our primary service of family reunions and special couple get-aways.

For those that loved our good friend's original description or if you have never read it, we have kept it unchanged below.

Turn yourself in a 360-degree circle and all you see is grass and tree meeting the sky. The extraordinary landscape at Lakeview will take you on a journey to the heart of native Oklahoma, concentrating largely on the green country. It is filled with breathtaking views of the wondrous landscape and wildlife that inhabit its 142 acres.

As you arrive at Lakeview you are introduced to the main lodge. With its natural stone and cedar construction you feel as though the lodge was placed there by nature herself. After finding a private place to meditate, to journal, you stop and reflect under the shade of the 1200+ square feet of cedar porches. You feel your energy re-invigorated through a peaceful frame of mind.

Along with the sunrise and sunset extravaganzas, you can enjoy the outdoor fire-pit as you watch the smoke trail up to the skies and you feel your connection to the circle of life.

Though you don’t want to stray far from this safe haven of cedar and stone, there will come a point when you will want to roam around the grounds, catching the rays of sunlight through the canopy of trees and walk along the paths. The longer you stay the further you want to explore the forested trails and to experience the exciting peace of your heart and mind that has begun in earnest.

As the concept of time slips away you are washed over by the familiarity to the world around you that you have forgotten in the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Every aspect inside Lakeview is as tranquil and natural as the outside. As you walk into the main lodge the scent of cedar washes over you as you stand beneath the ceiling soaring over 20 feet that appears suspended by a single tree. You notice the natural Amish rocking chair and deep leather furniture inviting you to sit and relax before the working [gas] natural stone fireplace. The main lodge has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms and sleeps individuals, couples, a family or multiple families comfortably.

The sensory experience doesn’t end. Take advantage of the fully stocked pond suitable for fishing or swimming, full amenities in the butcher-block counter kitchen, play one of many family-friendly games and recreations, read from the great selection of children, youth and adult books, or relax in the jetted tub or double shower in the master bath. The little ones (and their parents and grandparents) will love the large enclosed backyard with a huge sandbox.

Your next step is through the double glass doors onto a cedar porch with a breath-taking view of the lake on one side or the idyllic pond on the other. There are also several picnic areas to choose from.

The Cottage is connected by the covered deck to easily accommodate your large group or extended family. Lakeview is also a great choice for a romantic get away for just the two of you. The full property is yours to enjoy, whether you use just the Lodge or also the Cottage.

At Lakeview, you will witness at night by the star-filled sky, and the beautiful natural surroundings by day. You will feel its profound effect on your daily life as Lakeview becomes a cherished memory of your life’s journey where you will want to return again and again.
