This exclusive home sits high on top of the hill, on a 90 acre property. The all glass window front of this home allows an unobstructed view over the mountain range, the valley and the winding wind river.
The house is built with highest quality material, and decorated by designers who used high-end Wyoming furniture.
The property has approximately a mile of private Wind River with excellent trout fishing. The house is set alone on top of the hill, but further down, there are 3 smaller 2 bedroom cabins that can also be rented.
Being located 12 miles west of the town of Dubois, allows for a head-start in getting to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton or Jackson Hole. The back of the house opens directly to 2.5 million acres of Shoshone National Forest, a playground for 4-wheeling, horseback riding or some world class snowmobiling in the winter.
Dubois is close enough to Jackson (69 miles) for a day visit or an evening in a classy restaurant, but far enough to be away from the crowds. The drive to the national park entry is 45 minutes, and leads over the Continental Divide. The scenic drive offers stunning views over the Teton range, and moose, elk, and grizzly can often be seen along the road.
This area is famous for hiking, fly-fishing, horseback riding or simply mountain sight-seeing. There are many pristine alpine lakes close by and an abundant wildlife to view and photograph.
Put a sun chair to the mountain backdrop, close your eyes, feel the presence of the fresh mountain air and relax, or go out there into the wilderness and play your heart out. Nature doesn’t come more violently breathtaking as in Yellowstone’s backyard.
The spectacular panoramic view from the front porch was enough to take your breath away. This ranch is the perfect place for peace, quiet and relax surrounded by the beauty of Wyoming.
But if it's excitement is what you're after. Hop on the ATV's sitting outside your door. The trails are filled with scenic splendor, wild life and adventure around every corner. It was the trip of a life time.
Thanks to our host, we felt it was a true home away from home.

I don't know what to write about. Should I write about the amazing location of the house or should I talk about sitting by the fire pit and watching the stars at night? Should I talk about the amazing service provided by the owner or the amazing ATV trails around the area? I could literally write a several pages of the amazing experience we had at this place. The house is just incredible and the owner of the house is always there to help with whatever you need. He also has the local knowledge to tell you about some of the unique places that only the locals would know. Overall, I would go and take my family there again in a heart beat. Thank you for the amazing experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at Big Diamond Ranch. We rented all 4 properties (Main house + 3 cabins) in order to house our entire family. Each home was beautifully appointed and all amenities were available to us. When we were in need of something in addition to what was offered, Martin was eager to assist. He was very helpful in getting our large family situated and ensuring our vacation experience was a good one. We enjoyed a lot of time in the main house together (15 of us) and invited extended family out as well for a BBQ (25 of us) and it was spacious and we had plenty of room and a stunning view. Thank you Martin for a wonderful trip. Will look forward to seeing you next time!
I have finally gotten a breath(literally)since returning from our trip out west. An eventful trip highlighted by our stay at The Big Diamond Ranch. First, let me describe the ranch house. The rooms and closets were huge and very nice. The front porch and views were amazing. The kitchen/dining room were amazing. We also enjoyed eating around the huge dining table and sampling several adult beverages. I could spend much more time describing the house but the longest lasting impression was the hospitality.
Our timing was not the best considering the forest fire that had started a couple of days earlier at Lava Mountain. Martin touched base to let us know there was a fire but all was well. When we arrived, the ridge line was ablaze about a mile from the ranch house and smoke filled the air. Martin's exact words were, "watch the flag pole because it will tell you all you need to know". The wind would blow the flag towards the ridge line which would tell us the fire was being pushed over the ridge away from the ranch house. Martin kept us up to date on the status of the fire and acted as our confidant to some of the daily "drama" that presented itself. He also explained why there was at least 4 or 5 fire trucks accessing the ranch each day to fight the fire by "watching and eating doughnuts". The ranch had the only bridge capable of withstanding a fire truck. Another attention to detail that was not lost during our stay. Through the smoke, fire trucks, and (yes) helicopters, Martin's guidance was brilliant. It's this kind of hospitality and attention to details that make The Big Diamond Ranch a destination my family will return for years to come. Martin and his family are first class and that is how I would describe The Big Diamond Ranch. Although we did not get to fly fish or four wheel as much as my son and I would have liked due to the fire, the accommodations and the hospitality were second to none. Martin, to answer your question on "what can we do better"? Answer, "keep doing what your doing"!
This property is on the Centennial Scenic byway. It is the road that leads over the continental divide past the national park entry and to Jackson Hole. The area is amongst the most scenic in the whole state of Wyoming.
