NOT FOR PARTIES OR GATHERINGS OF ANY TYPE. Fully furnished, two-story Hollywood house, very spacious. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, formal dinning area, lounge/TV room, large living room with fire place. The house has a spacious office in the finished basement, with window, and access from the living room and driveway. You will get to enjoy our entertainers' backyard, this is a great area to spend some time outdoors enjoying our sunny California weather; it has built in sitting/lounge area with a fire pit all under a pergola, and a separate furnished sitting area. You have a BBQ available to use and small fridge outside too for your use. There is WiFi in all areas of the house. Property is fully gated. Surrounded by mature trees. You will have total privacy. Our house is centrally located and in a very walk able area.

Please note that there is a guest house at the end of driveway that may be also rented during your stay, guest there don't have access to the front and back yards as those areas as for main house / for your use only. Please park your car by around where A/C unit is, in a way not too close to the guest house and leaving space for guesthouse guest to walk along driveway.

I would like you to enjoy the place. Please treat it with respect and good care. The house is in an upscale residential area and absolutely no parties are allowed. No unregistered guests are allowed in the premises. Be conscious of the neighbors, no loud noise or loud conversations after 10 PM. Please no smoking inside the house. I expect you to leave the house in the same condition you found it. If something breaks or gets damaged I expect you to fix or pay for replacement. Do not move furniture around, if this is needed for any reason you must obtain writing authorization from owner --if this is violated you may be charged a fee. Please note that I also rent the guest house in the back of the house --very independent area and totally separate from the rental space with no access to the house nor the front or private back yard space. Please note, I am available by cell phone/iMessage anytime, except from Friday afternoon until Saturday night

Good size rooms in good location

We celebrated Thanksgiving here and the owner added two extra leaves to the dining room table , which made it very comfortable for 13 people. The master bedroom is very nice and has a lovely balcony with a cover just outside of it. There are three other bedrooms that are fine. There are TV monitors in 2 rooms, but no cable hook-up for watching TV, just streaming if guests already have subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon, and I think some others. The house has not had any updates, but it's in decent condition. Some things were not in working condition and there were only 3 towels out for 5 people, with laundry in the washing machine and dryer. (We found a closet with towels to use.) This is the first VRBO home we've stayed in out of 4 that had no "manual" to explain how things work, recommended nearby restaurants, and no one had inspected and corrected what was broken before guests arrived. The 4 ceiling lights weren't working in the kitchen (including one with no bulb) and the refrigerator ice-maker didn't work. The AC and heat both worked fine. (It was 97 for a few days, but in the 50's in the evening.) It's a few blocks from entering Runyon Canyon, which was great!

Beautiful Home in a fabulous location

We loved our stay here - the home is on a very quiet upscale residential street and minutes from all of the Hollywood sites. The owner was very communicative and answered all of our questions and gave us all of the information we needed for the home. It wasn't an issue for us, but I did notice that the description of the number of beds on the website was different than we found it. The bedroom which was listed as having 2 twins had only 1 twin, and the sleep sofa in the office did not open out. The back yard area is lovely. The decor of the home is interesting and eclectic and the rooms are very spacious, making lots of room for large families or several couples to enjoy the space. We would return!

Owner's Response: I am so happy this guest loved their stay and nice to hear they consider staying again. Just to clarify, the house is advertised with the correct number of beds, on the beds guest mentions: 1. The room does have 2 twin beds, one is a pullout. 2. The sofa in the office does open up into a bed, it is a little different than traditional pull out sofa, perhaps guest tried opening up the sofa in the TV room --that one does not open into a bed, and it is not advertised as that. The guest never mentioned this to me at any point during her stay, perhaps since they did not need extra beds.

Fantastic location and great space; house had some wear and tear

We enjoyed the great location, parking, and responsiveness of the host. We were able to walk to a grocery store, the tourist parts of Hollywood, Runyon Canyon, and a church. There was great space for our group of five to spread out and have private rooms. Street and driveway parking was available (we would recommend only parking in the driveway with a SUV - it has some steep angles).

There were a few peculiarities that could be found at many vacation rental homes. There were a decent amount of cobwebs, stains from water damage on the ceilings, paint chipping from the walls, and dirty floorboards. The kitchen door to the side yard was ajar when we arrived, there were ants around the kitchen sink and the upstairs shower, the dishes/flatware/cups did not appear to be cleaned - all things that distracted a bit from our stay but did not warrant immediate escalation to the host.

The instructions for check-in, house rules, and check-out were clear. The price was reasonable and we received our full deposit back. It was a good stay.

Nice location, but house needs work

We liked the location and the house is roomy and well-designed. When we arrived the dishwater had a sign that said out of order and the washing machine was also broken. Things go wrong. We get that. But neither of these problems were made transparent to us ahead of checking in. That bothered us. I stayed back the second day to let a repair man in who replaced the dishwasher with a used one. We used it once and it failed, leaking water. The dining furniture was dilapidated. Two of the dining chair backs fell apart when you leaned back. Very dangerous. The air conditioning cannot be set lower than 76 degrees or you are warned that it will freeze over and not work for 24 hours. The house was also not well-cleaned. The oven top were coated with grease. Plates had been washed, but still had dried food residues on them, presumably a result of the dish washer problem.. The outside furniture looks old and tired. In summary, nice house, nice location, but a number of functional issues.

Owner's Response: The problem with the dishwasher and washing machine is resolved. Unfortunately, we could not have the washing machine replaced in time for the 2-night stay of Janet. She still had a great time at the house.
