Downtown Santa Fe: A Historical, 3/2 Beautiful Casita with all the amenities!
About Barbara Rice
I owned a gallery in New Mexico that burned to the ground in 2010. It was filled with amazing art and it was a devastating loss. I waited 2 years to decide if I should open a gallery again, but I missed it so much. So we went to Santa Fe a place we loved to visit and began to look. What we found was meant to be...the Casita Turquoise is an extension of our amazing art. Beautiful furnishings, great art, and that "Santa Fe" feel. And located across from the Santa Fe River and park was the icing on the cake! I don't think any other VRBO is closer than we are to the famous Plaza and walking distance to shopping, restaurants, museums, and so much more!

Why Barbara Rice chose Downtown
This property was not for sale when I made my husband stop and look at it. It was lonely and vacant, and I knew it had a story. We found the owners, told them our story, and the rest is history! The building is so unique with its old doors, fireplaces, and rooms that wander. The rooms are adorned with art from the gallery and so it is not only a place to stay, but it is a show place! Santa Fe is so full of art, history, culture, food, and wine which makes it a great place to visit---and our casita the best place to stay!
What makes this Condo unique
Casita Turquoise is in such a great location right in the downtown area. With the Santa Fe River and park right across the street, it is a nice place to just sit and people watch. The building is historic, with high ceilings, vigas, adobe plaster with bit of hay in it, but yet with all the modern conveniences! The full kitchen makes it nice to have breakfast and a hot cup of coffee right out your door or in the courtyard. Casita Turquoise is in walking distance of just about everything! Restaurants, the Plaza, Canyon Road, the Railyard, Museums, the State Capitol, and all of the hotels. Plus, shopping right below and all around! You will love the beautifully decorated southwestern décor and everything will make you comfortable! Great beds for a comfy nights sleep, and little extras like bottled water and snacks make it memorable. Historic, yet you have your Directv and internet available too!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This place was perfect for our first stay in Santa Fe. It’s beautiful and unique, and the location is incredible. Barbara, owner, was communicative and kind. Highly recommend!
Great location. It is a short walk to shopping and great restaurants. It was our first visit to Santa Fe and we didn’t know how handy that parking pass would be. Precious casita.
Everything Santa Fe in one spot!
Property owner was SUPER accommodating and the place is perfect. Perfect location, perfectly decorated, just perfect.
Casita Turquoise was a perfect place to stay!
We loved staying at Casita Turquoise. It was the perfect backdrop for our first trip to Santa Fe. It was convenient for dining and shopping and it was a unique setting with all the comforts of home.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Turquoise Butterfly. The owner was so accommodating for our one year old. The location was perfect. The enclosed porch was a delightful bonus. Lovely place!!
One of us flew in from the PNW, one from CO and the other from the Midwest. The casita was the perfect space for the three of us to catch up, relax and enjoy all the great things historic, downtown Santa Fe had to offer! The hosts had the casita stocked with everything we needed (and more)! We ventured out, by foot, part of our trip and stayed in and enjoyed the casita part of the time as well!
This casita is located right in the historic downtown area where all the shopping, restaurants, museums, events, festivals, and so much more are! This is the place to be when you are in Santa Fe. The art, the history, and the culture are amazing and this casita is in the heart of it all! Located in a historic building with old doors, wood floors, kiva fireplaces and more! There are restaurants on each corner, the oldest house and oldest church one block away, the Inn of the Loretto is just steps away and the La Fonda is one block away. The Loretto Chapel with the mysterious staircase is right around the corner, and the Santa Fe River is across the street. The State Capitol is one block away and you can walk to the plaza in 2 minutes. Adjoining the Casita is a beautiful 10,000 sf courtyard with a crystal quartz fountain that flows continuously. Spinning minerals, beautiful flowers, and a view of the locals. Cant find a better place!
