This property is for long-term rental only. This wonderful suite in a turn of the century home has been completely updated. Spacious and comfortable, it boasts a large kitchen, dining room, living room with 12ft ceilings, 2 bedrooms + den and 2 bathrooms, all beautifully finished. Please send us a message if you are interested and I can confirm available dates.
The large master bedroom comes with an en-suite. The second bedroom upstairs comes with two beds, a single and a double. The second bathroom is located on the main floor.

In-suite washer/dryer, dishwasher, Big screen high def TV, high-speed internet, coffee maker, microwave and everything else needed to make this your home away from home.

The outdoor patio is great for a BBQ, and they back garden provides a quiet retreat, just a short walk to downtown.

Great Inside, Not so much outside
We visited Victoria in August for 5 days, doing the usual visitor activities. The location is wonderful, only 2 blocks to the ocean walk along Dallas which we did twice a day. Also easy walk to the inner harbor. The living area was great, bedrooms too. The ensuite bathroom is small and seems even more so because a stackable washer/dryer takes up most of the floor space. Couldn't open the shower door more than halfway. The outside area needs a lot of work. When we drove up the first afternoon, we were surprised at how unkempt the property was, overgrown shrubs, dead vine, entry porch in need of paint. There was also a separate rental unit in what used to be the garage. When we rented, we were aware of an upstairs rental unit, but didn't know about the other rental unit. Even with the two other rental units, we still had the property largely to ourselves. We would come back again if the outside area were taken care of.

Nice house in an excellent location, James Bay Victoria BC
The suite we rented in this house was very large and accommodated our family well. It was fantastically located, near restaurants, shopping, the beach and the downtown area. I do have to say that the house and yard need some fixing up as things have gotten run down on the property.

Well located but "tired"
Bright and spacious. Not apparent in the description is the fact that the second bedroom is up a flight of narrow creaky stairs, but the second bathroom is on the main level. The gardens could use some TLC

Very convenient and comfortable house
Everything was in place for a wonderful visit to Victoria. The kitchen was stocked with some basic essentials and a good assortment of cookware. The appliances worked well. We had some cold days and appreciated the effective heating in the house. On snowy days, we rented movies at the Cook Street Village Video Store (which has a very large collection). The beds were comfortable and there was a lot of closet space and storage. The location of this house in James Bay is perfect for visitors who like to walk. There are many choices - Dallas Road, the harbour area, the West Walk to Esquimalt. Public transit is very convenient in Victoria as well. We travelled to Royal Roads University, Cadboro Bay, Oak Bay, Sidney and Thetis Lake. There are so many good restaurants in Victoria, it is hard to select a few.

We bought this beautiful property in 2014 and are so excited to own this place in the best location in the city.

Why they chose this property

We were so lucky to find this incredible home in the best neighbourhood in the City. Being so close to the beach and Beacon Hill Park is a dream come true, especially since we're just a short walk from tonnes of amenities and downtown.

We love the blend of old world charm and modern conveniences. The house features 11ft ceilings and big windows, the kitchen and bathroom are quite modern and beautifully finished. We also loved the garden in the back of the house - a peaceful retreat from the not-so-hectic Victoria life ;-)
