Perfect & cozy A-Frame Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here. The cabin is very clean, warm, and cute. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals and enjoy coffee in the morning. The beds/bedding were very comfortable as well. Loved the area the cabin is in and we enjoyed walking around the quiet neighborhood streets in the afternoons. The owner Donna is very helpful and communicative. Hope to stay here again sometime.

The cabin was very clean and cozy.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The owner had various blankets and sheets available for use. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. The living area was great with a gas fireplace that warmed the cabin quickly. The tv had limited channels but gave the family more quality time. The kitchen was well equipped with all necessary otems from pots, dishes, glassware, utensils, spices, and storage bins. The cabin is located about two blocks from the lake in a friendly and quiet local part of town, Tahoma. We drove about 40 minutes to South Lake Tahoe, about 15 minutes to Tahoe City. The cabin is pretty central to many of the places of interest in the area. The porch area outside was nice to sit in at night and relax from the days activities. Our family of four truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the future. Just wished there was an upstairs 1/2 bath. But overall very friendly owner, very quick in responding to messages, and friendly neighbors that help you out in an emergency. Would highly recommend this cabin to my friends and family.

Beautiful, peaceful vacation A-frame in sierras

  • 5 of 5

We had an idyllic stay here. The A-frame is recently remodeled and extremely comfortable yet appropriate for the sierra environment with a beautiful wood interior. It is a perfect location to either just read a book, cross country ski in the beautiful State park (within short walking distance) , or hike. Due to little snow we hiked, but would have also loved to ski there. We intend to return again as soon as possible.

All of the necessary details are well taken care of by Donna ( the owner) and the very kind neighbor across the street who does the snow shoveling and is a handy man. We had a minor snow and he immediately shoveled and also provided us very helpful recreational consultation, since we are from out of town..

We highly recommend staying here.

Coziest Cabin

  • 5 of 5

What a find! The cutest cabin there ever was, and I loved the ease and simplicity of it all for a long weekend with friends. Donna was wonderful to work with, and has put so much thought and vision into this cabin. It had everything we could need, but was super efficient in terms of space. Everything was so comfortable, from the beds, to the couch, to the throw blankets. The fireplace was great for chilly nights, we all congregated around it and shared some good wine and great conversations. One thing I would say is when warming up the house, monitor the temperature upstairs. When it was a comfortable temp downstairs, the upstairs loft bedroom was pretty hot, but we opened the windows to air it out and were fine. Thanks for everything, Donna, and we hope to be back soon!

Owner's Response: So nice to have guests that love my cabin as much as I do. Thanks! :) And yes, in front of the fire is a cozy spot with wine or not, but heat does rise so opening up windows upstairs was a good idea. Another option is to turn on the fireplace blower to direct heat out and not up, but it does make some noise so it's not quite as cozy and peaceful. Glad you had a good weekend!

Beautiful home. It worked well for us. Beautiful bathroom and the views were awesome!

  • 5 of 5

The beds were more firm than we were use to. We enjoyed finding all of the things we needed for cooking. Chairs were nice and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone whom is staying in Tahoma. Beautiful area and very friendly people. Our host was amazing with helping us with the unit. Very responsive to our questions and needs.
