Island Pine is a 40 unit complex that sits on 7 mile beach. Our condo has been remodeled with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, custom cabinets, new tile, high speed internet with wifi and new furniture. There is also a covered front patio that includes a dining table to enjoy those meals you decide to make at home but can still sit outside and enjoy the weather.

We have included all the essentials for a family that likes to have the flexibility to make meals at 'home' or somewhere to keep the basics for breakfast and lunch and minimize the vacation expenses. At the same time don't miss out on the excellent restaurants that range from sushi to hamburgers to fine dining, all within walking distance.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan, dresser and patio to enjoy your morning coffee along with the natural lighting and a fresh cross breeze.

The loft over looks the living room and includes 2 single beds and dresser, great for kids.

The kitchen has a breakfast bar with stools inviting conversation as meals are prepared or just relaxing after a long day at the beach. We have included all the things that will make your meal preparation just like home with all new coffee maker, toaster, cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware and blender.

The bathroom has been updated to include beautiful tile work and a large shower with sliding glass doors (no bathtub).

The small 40 unit complex has a pool which is usually empty during the week because most tenants are long term and work during the day. The pool area also has pergolas to provide shade while you enjoy the quiet or watch the kids splashing around in the pool. The pergolas include a hammock for a quiet afternoon nap or a comfortable shaded area to catch up on some reading. There is also a community propane BBQ grill for the use of our guests. The famous Seven Mile Beach is just on the other side of the nicely landscaped pool area. From the pool you have full direct access to the beach, don't forget to take the beach chairs and towels from inside the unit so you can be comfortable where ever you decide to go.

If you are interested in stand up paddle boarding (SUP), there are rental facilities near by along with lessons for beginners.

About Kathy & Derek

Our family is from Michigan and we look forward to sharing our favorite place in the caribbean with you. All three of our children have completed their open water scuba diving certifications here. To help minimize the usual 'where are we going to eat?', 'i don't care' conversation we can provide a list of restaurants to satisfy the kids request for chicken tenders and ranch, great italian food, brick oven pizza, burgers, a steakhouse or seafood.

We have been visiting the islands since before we were married and have stayed in various units in this complex. When we had the opportunity to purchase this unit it was a dream come true. We enjoy bringing the children somewhere we feel safe and can walk the beach or streets without being approached by anyone trying to sell us something.

Seven mile beach gives you the opportunity to enjoy a nice walk or sit and read a book while enjoying the warm breezes. With a private pool at this small complex you can get away from any activity on the beach and enjoy your own quiet time in the shade or soaking up the sun. The central location makes it easy to manage without a car, if you decide to take a drive to explore the island it is easy to reserve a car for a day or two.

Vacation in paradise

We are never disappointed with our VRBO rentals but Kathy really is a very attentive owner. Her condo was just perfect and we were less than a minute to toes in the sand on gorgeous Seven Mile Beach. Kathy provided so much valuable information prior to our trip that I printed and brought for our 2 week stay as well as her then sending evening entertainment email to us during our last week. She also checked in to make sure all was well and that we had plenty of towels. We appreciated her efforts. Condo was quiet, we enjoyed having our coffee on the front deck every morning. The condo was very clean, bed comfortable and it was stocked well. The pool is also very quiet, maybe 4 others around at any time or no one, we brought floats and floated while reading, awesome! Royal Palms Beach Club is next door and we loved that. You could go get drinks and lunch or dinner anytime while on the beach, it was perfect. Nothing like a frozen piña colada while gazing at the crystal clear gorgeous shades of turquoise waters, so good for the soul. Cruise ships are in almost every day but we were never bothered by crowds or had any issue getting around or into restaurants of our choice. The beach club would have cruise ship guests arrive, but never crowds and they were always gone back to ship around 3 pm. We would highly recommend this fabulous rental and owner, would give 10 stars if possible! Thank you VRBO for another wonderful experience! Dawn & Mark

Condo very close to the beach

The condo is very close to 7 mile beach and the beach access has some very nice chairs and umbrellas available. It was a bit chilly in January for us to enjoy the pool. The property is right next door to the Royal Palms which is a day trip hangout for the cruise ship folks who arrive in bunches via taxi or small bus and rent beach chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas by the day. When a lot of cruise ships are in the place can really be hopping and bar full. This can also create some congestion in the shared parking lot. The condo kitchen is newly updated and well appointed if you plan on doing any in room cooking. You are within walking distance to several local fun restaurants and bars.

Nicely maintained property on great part of Seven Mile Beach

The condo that we rented was on the second floor and has been updated. The owners did a great job of giving entertainment and dining options along with directions from the airport to the condo, grocery store, etc. You are able to walk to Camana Bay if you choose not to rent a car. It was nice to have the pool right beside the beach so that you could leave your personal items while you took a walk or swam in the ocean.
