About this property

Ranch Getaway in the foothills of the Sierras

Renovated ranch home located in the rolling hills of Springville California. This four bedroom 2 1/2 bath home has spectacular views of the Sierra mountains, small lakes to swim and fish in, citrus groves and hills with hiking trails and cattle. No tvs or screens allows you to fully relax and immerse yourself in this natural location. You are not just renting a beautiful home but over 160 acres of ranch property to enjoy and explore. Enjoy the mountain views from every room and the large wooden deck which looks over the tops of the orange trees. On cool winter nights warm yourself by the large rock fireplace. On hot summer days cool down by swimming in the lake and the house has ample air conditioning. Visit the town of Springville (just one mile away) which is a quaint little country town nestled in a small valley at the base of mountain peaks that reach to over 10,000 feet. Drive to the giant sequoia trees at Balch Park, just one hour away. Enjoy hiking the hills next to the house and currently we have cattle on the hills. Note: they are afraid of people so you don't need to be afraid of them. Enjoy the fresh air, serenity, quiet and beauty. Take a break from TVs but it does have high speed wi-fi. Farm house has a large sunken living room with large windows with mountain views and a connected dining room, large kitchen with new appliances and attached family area with another table for playing cards or eating meals, all with spectacular mountain views. In addition, the garage was transformed to a game room in 2015 with a quality pool table and table tennis. It's a great place to play and hang out. Great home away from home
My family and I had a fantastic time here despite of the unexpected heat wave. Since it was so hot out, we spent most of the time indoors. The hosts were quick to respond to my messages and check in was easy. They allowed us to add more people when family members were able to fly in last min. The only issue we had were all of the spiderwebs. It doesnt appear that the house has been rented in a while so there were webs in every corner including the entrance door. It really didn't bother us much. Check out was easy. Just leave everything as is and no extensive chore list! That was extra brownie points for us. We love it here and cant wait to come back.

Family birthday weekend.
Had a family get together for my father's 77th birthday. The whole family had a great time hiking the hills and swimming in the pond. The game room with ping pong table was very entertaining. The views were incredible. The family can't wait to come back.

The ranch has been in the family since 1966, focussing on citrus. We grow some of the best oranges and grapefruit found anywhere. The ranch house was built in 1985 and recently renovated. Now we want to share this special place with others.

Why they chose this property

Dad picked the most beautiful ranch with three small lakes for fishing and swimming, large hills for hiking, citrus groves and spectacular mountain views. This has now been passed down to us.

What makes this property unique

Go on a day hike through the groves, hike the hills and swim across the lake while never leaving the property.
