About TVL Vacation Homes

Owners retired, former professional property managers for 34 years, 18 year owners of a historic Gold Rush hotel in the California Mother Lode serving thousands of tourists worldwide, 19 years as college/university real estate and business instructor, long time restorers/preservationists of many historic properties.

TVL Vacation Homes purchased this estate in 2014

Why TVL Vacation Homes chose Temecula

Temecula Wine Country is a unique region with Old Spanish California historic roots....

The Butterfield Stage Coach rumbled its way through Temecula from about 1858-1861 and cattlemen, scofflaws, farmers, American Indians and hardy territorial settlers eked out meager livings.

We visited/ previewed Rancho Del Vino when the property was for sale and loved the wine country views....the serenity and peacefulness; we felt other people would appreciate the awesome views, authentic country living in the immediate company of top wineries, nearby premier golfing, hiking, numerous neighborhood equestrian activities.

And the wine is pretty good!

What makes this estate unique

Enjoy Wine Country and walking distance to top De Portola Trail wineries; additionally, you're close to 1000 Syrah vines growing outside your windows at Rancho Del Vino.

Also, private chefs, local caterers and grocery delivery are available during your stay.

There are three large lakes for fishing and boating a few miles away.

The Pacific Ocean beaches are about 1.5 hours away. Disneyland, Legos Park, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Julian Silver Mining Boom Town, Sea World and San Diego Zoo are comfortable day trips.

If your into antiquing, Old Town Temecula is a known hot spot for antiques as well as for restaurants, local artisan handicrafts and unique gift shops.

Pechanga Casino has golfing, buffets, many gourmet foods choices and top name live entertainment.

Try renting a luxury limo or ride a trolley and visit picturesque wineries for beverage tasting or dining among the vines, music and dancing.

Let us know your interests, we can provide information on contacts, literature, knowledgeable locals, value promotions at restaurants, golf courses, wineries and events.

We look forward to providing you a memorable total Wine Country experience Under the Temecula Sun!

Everything about this house was PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

The online photos and details do not do this rental justice. The experience was pleasant from the initial contact with the owner forward. Location! Location! Location! While our itinerary did not include a walk to the nearby wineries, knowing that there were so many options was a huge plus. They thought of and provided everything needed for the stay and then some. We will definitely seek this rental out again!

Thank you.

Beautiful and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Our group had a great stay here. The house was perfect for us and met all our needs. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay in this area. The location is also great if you are here to visit wineries.

Not what I expected !

  • 3 of 5

I have been renting Homes and Condo's with VRBO for many years as well as around the World. This is not in a class of units I have learned to expect. I gave it 3 Stars because it is a nice Home with great potential. The Home was built in 1989 and sold as an investment for weekly rentals in 2014. The present Owners have cleaned it up nice with paint and cute little Knick Knacks but thats where it stops.

FIRE PLACES: I was looking forward to a romantic fire in the Temecula Wine Country when I arrived. I got to there and saw a little sign on both Fire Places. DO NOT USE. HUH? Why not? I reread my paperwork and wallah. Its says, DO NOT USE FIRE PLACES. They claim it is for fire Hazard in the Wine Country reasons. Give me a break. Indians used to burn outside in the area. I think they just don't want to clean a Fire Place after each rental. OK I will give them that one.

HEATER: It's cold in the desert at night. I decided to turn up the Heater. The Thermostat only goes to 72 degrees. Maybe this will be ok? Forget it. The Home is poorly insulated with the original low grade dual pane windows. We froze the whole week we were there. Apparently they limit the temp so as to conserve the Bill? I also suspect they control the Internet Thermostat from afar. Some times it never came on and said the home was 74 degrees. Sorry not my idea of 74 Degrees. Mark Twain said " The coldest Winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." I believe Mr. Twain never spent a night in November In RANCHO DEL VINO.

MASTER BATH TUB: I decided to take a hot bath. I filled the tub and got in. About 3 minutes after relaxing, the Jets from the Jacuzzi came on full blast. Scared the bajeez out of me. Water was shooting all over the place. I climbed out of the tub and it stopped. Weird. NO WHERE WAS A CONTROL. the next day I called the Management company and, She had no idea. Stating perhaps no one has ever used it? They need a new sign? DO NOT USE BATH TUB IN MASTER SUITE.

INTERNET: If you want to reminisce the days of AOL and Dial up on Internet, come to Camino Del Vino. It allows you to check your email but thats about it. No Videos and don't bring your VUDU because it won't work. It's about the slowest internet I have encountered. I think for $10.00 a month more, they could fix that problem.

CONCLUSION: Would I stay there again. NO NO NO.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry you felt like this was your experience at our Family Vacation Home that is not just an investment to us but a place for our family to come together and also planted our family vineyard that we hope to be able to produce our own wine for many generous of our family to come. The MASTER BATH TUB has no issue, it was not that we didn't know we just never had happen what you explained, the controls where right in the area we told you and you must had been pushing on it with a towel or something when you got in the tub, we are not sure. We do let you know about the Fireplaces prior to your arrival, we are sorry you waited till after your check in to read your info. As far as freezing at night, the lowest temp it was while your stay was 58 degree's ad not sure why you where having the issues you are with the temperature but again we do let you know this in your terms prior to renting about our temp sets. Our Wifi is the best available in our "Country Area" we just don't have the newest tech available to us, has nothing to do with price. We take deep pride in our home and sorry it was just not the right home for you. Best!

A beautiful home for our adult family to spend a special Fall weekend together.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was perfect. From the ground coffee to the king sized beds. Spacious gathering areas and beautifully appointed interior decorations made our family celebration even more memorable. We loved our time together in this special setting. Just wished we could have stayed longer!

We had an incredible vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Three couples rented this house for our best friend’s wedding, and it was truly outstanding! Everything was just as pictured, and beautiful - the finishes were well thought out and no attention to detail was overlooked! The location is amazing — wineries are all around you, several only a few minutes away!

This was easily the most well-stocked HA home I’ve ever stayed in, every single thing you could have needed was right there at your finger tips! The owners have thought of everything!

The beds, linens, towels, and furniture are all luxurious and extremely comfortable. This is the perfect home for a small group as everyone has their own private space, while also being able to enjoy common space all together! We spent mornings and nights on the back patio, and it was perfect!

We will definitely be back again. If you are thinking of booking this home, go for it! You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent property / great location

  • 5 of 5

The home was well-equipped and maintained, immaculate and very comfortable - exactly as described in the property description. We needed/wanted for anything except for the food we shopped for and brought for our stay - all amenities were provided including coffee, cream & sugar. We would highly recommend this home. It is well located - wineries abound - with restaurants and shopping only minutes away. A real gem!!
