Woodcreek B&B is a self-contained suite with a kitchen stocked with breakfast essentials for you to have at your convenience. We are now in our eighth year of operation.

The suite has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a double bed. The kitchen includes a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes and utensils for light cooking. The living area with TV has a comfy pull out couch for extra guests. All windows look into green tree tops. The ocean is a stone’s throw away, a two minute walk across the road. The private entrance is accessed up the outside stairs to a large deck where you can enjoy the outdoors.

This is a desirable location that is a great home base for island exploration. It is a hub to many modes of transportation, land and sea. Popular with hikers, cyclists, Eco-tourists. We love the natural beauty.

What makes this apartment unique

Our home is tucked into the trees. Rural but conveniently close to all the amenities of town. Wake up to the birds in the morning and go to sleep with the owls at night. The ocean is a short walk across the road where visitors can see a multitude of birds, otters and sometimes orca whales.

Cozy and quiet

Our small family of four had a comfortable stay in this cozy apartment. We enjoyed walking to the beaches and exploring Sidney over the Christmas holiday. Beds were comfortable and hosts were ready and willing to provide anything we needed. Thank you!!

Secluded, cozy apartment very close to the beach and ferry terminal!

This was a fantastic spot to stay during our bike tour from Seattle to Vancouver. We biked from Victoria in the morning, and stayed the night here before jumping on the ferry. Jannelle provided us with fruit and breakfast items, and even brought up some fresh baked muffins! The apartment is cozy and the location can't be beat - secluded, right near the water (there was a great beach to watch the sunset), but was only a few minutes by bike from the ferry terminal. Highly recommend the Woodcreek B&B!

Our two-day getaway in Sidney

Our stay at Woodcreek B&B was everything we'd hoped for. Our second floor accommodation afforded us a quiet and private suite of rooms with unobstructed views of the grounds, both front and back, as well as the surrounding neighbourhood. We also enjoyed walking about the area and exploring the local beach front only a 1/2 block walk away, and Moses Beach which is only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk further along Lands End Drive, an area of beautiful beach front homes. As guests, we were made to feel most welcome by not only our hosts, Jannelle and Andrew Bailey, but also their faithful Airedale, Gabby, and the horse next door we nicknamed "Lonely" since he seemed to appear at the fence whenever we set off from the property. Jannelle's delicious scones were a much appreciated added touch as were Andrew's entertaining stories. We've left the island feeling attached to both the Sidney harbor and downtown area as well as the neighbourhood we called "home" and would certainly return there again. Thank you Jannelle and Andrew for making our stay a most pleasant experience.

Woodcreek is found at the tip of the Saanich Peninsula on beautiful Vancouver Island. This is a great starting point for exploring all the peninsula has to offer. Beach combing and trails for hiking are within walking distance or a short drive away. It is just a 10 minute drive to Sidney by the Sea, 30 minutes to Victoria, BC's provincial capital, and 15 minutes to world famous Butchart Gardens.

Like the outdoors? Charter a sailboat to explore the coast or hire a fishing guide if you want to try halibut and salmon fishing. There are air tours from the airport. Or enjoy the ocean on a whale watching tour. This area offers excellent cold water scuba diving. In the summer you can pack a picnic and take the passenger ferry from the Sidney Government Wharf to Sidney Spit Marine Park. It’s great fun for the kids.

From here you can access the BC Gulf Islands, the US San Juan Islands and US Olympic Peninsula in the Strait of Juan de Fuca by air or ferry. From Victoria there is daily ferry service to Port Angeles Washington and foot passenger ferry service to Seattle.
