Great home in a wonderful location!

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I were visiting the Jersey shore area for a bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law and we decided to make a long "girl's weekend" out of it. We wanted to rent a two-bedroom place in a location central to all of the places we wanted to visit. This house was perfect! The house itself is very nicely/comfortably decorated - I don't think I can post pictures I took of some of the artwork here - it was really fun! The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, pots & pans, mugs, glasses, etc. There were several food/condiment items, too. We are big game players so we loved the dining area with a big table. There is a very nice living room, but we didn't spend much time in it.

We visited in the Spring, but I could tell the house was well-equipped for in-season beach goers. I highly recommend this house!

Wonderful bungalow, Clean, Updated,Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful weekend on the Jersey shore. Location was perfect short walk to the beach, and restaurants. Very close to local attractions, Sandy Hook National Park and the Twin Lights. You can see the Manhattan sky line from the beach, but are fully in local Jersey. House was clean and comfortable, good kitchen, two bedrooms with one upstairs if you needed to put kids to bed early. Cute back yard for sitting. Looking forward to next year.

LOVED IT!!! Great open concept house!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed at this place for a long weekend just to get away from the city. It was in a great location - close to natural beaches, Sandy Hook and Sea Bright. We even hiked up the hill to the Twin Lights which gave us a great view of the area! We really enjoyed the modern kitchen and beachy feel of the house. We can’t wait until next summer to come back here again and experience the place in the warm weather! You will not be disappointed with this one!!!

Great location - horrible beds...

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location and layout of this clean and cute cottage. Close to restaurants, bakery (great bagels and muffins @ Bay Street bakery) the beach was close and parking right out front was great. Two full baths, great kitchen, HUGE flat screen TV all of these items are great. Unfortunately the queen size beds are the worst we have ever slept on, or tried to. I woke each morning at about 3AM and moved to the living room sofa because the low-end mattress was more than firm, hard as a rock may be the best way to describe. Maybe if I was 20 something this would not bother me but at 60 we expect a better mattress. We are both in pretty good shape, we were there for a long distance bike ride, and neither my wife or could take another night on this bed. We'd stay again but would bring a thick mattress pad in hopes of getting a full nights rest. Landlord was very responsive to a concern we had and made adjustments immediately.

Owner's Response: I think that anyone would agree that mattress comfort is very subjective. That being said we have two medium firm mattresses that we spent upwards to $1100 each. This is not just an investment property but our own beach house and good mattresses were a must. We will be adding mattresses pads for guests who l like a softer mattress with less support. But again these mattress are fairly high-end and are no more than 2 years old. We like one so much that I ordered one for my first home in Chicago. ( :

Lovely bungalow and super location.

  • 4 of 5

Very convenient, clean, and very quiet. Only complaint is the beds are not that great. Also front doors are hard to unlock and lock.

Other than that, we had a lovely visit.

Convenient to take ferry to NYC which we did.
