The Village Nook is a comfortable one bedroom, ground level, garden apartment, with a private entrance. It's perfect for one or two people on an Adirondack get-away or business trip. Take a seven minute stroll down Broadway or on the Adirondack Rail Trail behind our house to enjoy the village of Saranac Lake for dining, shopping, galleries, and events.

Staying at The Village Nook you have the unique opportunity for an especially relaxing respite. Your host Mary, a Yoga Therapist, operates her private yoga studio upstairs - Inner Quest Yoga. Guests can make appointments for yoga therapy, private yoga or qigong classes, Reiki sessions and meditation. Check her website for more information or contact Mary directly.

You'll find a guidebook with the hosts recommendations for dining and outings as well as brochures and maps for area attractions, trails, and waterways.

Good location
Walking distance from downtown, restaurants. Busy road and intersection noise facing our bedroom would be our only complaint. I would book again but would choose the room facing the back. The host is very pleasant. Good energy & vibes

What a cozy, lovely place to stay!
The Nook is a real gem in Saranac Lake! My wife & I could have just stayed inside the entire time, it's that cozy! Mary & Kevin are the most friendly, hospitable hosts, ready to answer any questions, give recommendations of things to do, places to eat. We were more than thrilled to stay there, and we will be back!!

Great place in Saranac Lake
The Nook is as advertised. It's very clean, comfortable and a great location to walk to dinner and breakfast. It's also central for hiking or paddling. Very comfortable and Mary is great to work with.

We love the Adirondacks. We moved here together in 1988 so we could live an active yet peaceful mountain lifestyle. We enjoy all seasons playing outdoors - hiking, biking, canoeing, x-c skiing and snow shoeing. Let us help you love the Adirondacks.

Why they chose this property

The peaceful nature of the facility, special services we can offer, and the convenient downtown location has proven to work well for many guests. It's central location in the tri-lakes region makes it a great hub with easy driving distances for 'much to do and see' in the woods, on the water, or strolls through the town and village. We enjoy sharing our home and meeting people from all around the state, country and the world!

What makes this property unique

The Nook is like home yet a floor below there are holistic services available: yoga and qi gong group or private classes, meditation, yoga therapy, reiki, and sound healing. Check the Inner Quest Yoga & Wellness Center website. Currently, due to COVID, group classes are suspended and three weekday classes are being held virtual via ZOOM.
