Remodeled 1930's Farmhouse in Pastoral setting 3 miles from Historic Abingdon, VA with views of The Holston Mountains and nearby Wolf Creek. Make this your home base for enjoying Historic Abingdon including The Barter Theatre, The Virginia Creeper Trail, South Holston Lake, Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area with its' great fly fishing, and The Bristol Motor Speedway. This lovely home includes 3 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, 2 full baths, and 1 half bath. Enjoy your morning coffee, or afternoon cocktail on the front porch with a view of the mountains, complete with porch swing, and rocking chairs, or grill on the back porch. Gas grill with propane is provided. The house has a well equipped kitchen to cook as you please, or you may enjoy one of Abingdon's fine restaurants.

Central heat and air conditioning is provided by 2 heat pumps, with separate thermostats located on each floor level. High-speed broadband cable internet with Wi-Fi is included, and there is Cable TV with one 50" smart TV in the Living Room, along with a Blu-ray/DVD player.

Lovely home, excellent amenities.

Don’t let the “historic” description cause any concern. This home has been remodeled with superior craftsmanship while maintaining the vintage feel of an old farmhouse. Completely modern kitchen and bathrooms with all the conveniences of a home built yesterday. The hosts take great care in providing all the amenities you could possibly need. The grounds are private and very well maintained with scenic pastures surrounding it while only a few miles from town when you need to replenish the fridge. We loved hanging out on the front porch. Gracious, prompt hosts. Thank you!

Peaceful and tranquil location!

Enjoyed our week at this beautiful home. It was clean, beds were great and the location is perfect.. Easy access to 81 and downtown Abingdon. Highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a convenient location and peaceful setting.

College friends reunion.

We loved this property! Very comfortable for 6 ladies. The location is close enough to town to go eat or shop for the day.

Lovely views from front of home.

The home is very charming and may be the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed (I’m very critical about cleanliness).

Owner was good to work with and very organized with instructions on arrival.

I don’t think you will be disappointed staying here if your looking for a quiet, comfy place to stay.

House...lots of character, homey, wonderful views from all windows, clean, filled with all necessities to make your stay comfortable. Great books and music selections provided for many tastes and interests. Exercise room with equipment/sun room with great views! Cozy bedrooms. And, a porch to love, no matter the weather! rural setting close to downtown historic Abingdon atop a hill with the most fabulous views! Quiet and serene surroundings.

Owners...Fabulous! Gracious and kind! They even accepted an invitation from us to come over for pie, ice cream and coffee! The kind of people you would be fortunate to call your friends.

Truly enjoyed our visit at the Farmhouse!!!

Awesome Gem in Abingdon

First impressions count! When you walk into this home the first thing you will notice is the cleanliness of it. Then you immediately take in the beauty of the home and the surroundings (mountains and pastures).

The home is also well equipped from the kitchen and living area to the exercise bikes. It is also just a short drive into town for shopping, sightseeing, or for getting a cup of coffee.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely revisit the "Farmhouse".
