The Red House is a lovely Victorian located in the residential west side of Livingston. Built in the early 1900’s, the Red House has been fully renovated and tastefully furnished to provide you with an elegant and cozy vacation home. Its convenient location provides something for everyone. It is four blocks from Sacajawea Park & the beautiful, wild Yellowstone River. A ten minute stroll takes you to Livingston’s vibrant downtown where you can enjoy restaurants, bars and shopping. Yellowstone National Park is but an hour away and Bridger Bowl is a 50 minute drive.

You will find yourself close to so many activities, such as hiking, fishing, skiing, biking, floating and soaking, that it may be hard to decide what to do each day! We love Livingston and we feel you will too! Come stay here, enjoy our small town hospitality and let your worries and stress melt away.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS: The main floor has a bedroom with its own full bath, queen bed, sitting chair, night table & lots of closet space. There are two bedrooms upstairs. One is the master bedroom with a queen sleigh bed, connected bathroom (shower only) and a separate walk-in dressing room. In the master sitting area, there’s a TV and an adjustable sofa which can convert into additional sleeping.The other upstairs bedroom is tastefully furnished with a double bed, a large 3 drawers night table, antique small side table, comfy chair, small cabinet & closet. Additional sleeping space can be found in the living room on the leather queen sleeper sofa. There is an additional half bath on the main level. Sheets are high thread count with high quality brand name pillow-top mattresses to ensure your comfort.

KITCHEN AND DINING: The kitchen is completely new with a full selection of cookware and tableware. There is a butler’s pantry/wet bar right off the kitchen for your entertaining convenience. The dining table seats 6 comfortably with room for two additional side chairs for a larger crowd. An antique sideboard close by houses linen and additional serving ware. There is a breakfast nook in the kitchen where you can share your morning coffee.

LIVING ROOM: The living area has a luxurious Italian leather sleeper sofa, leather chair, fabric slipper chair and a chaise lounge situated around a large leather ottoman which can serve as additional seating when needed. The dining area is open to the living area allowing some to linger around the table after dinner while others ease into the living room to relax. There are large windows in both areas that flood the rooms with a warm glow in the evenings.

OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT: The Red House has a covered front porch with comfy seating to relax and watch small town life drift by. For more privacy, enjoy outdoor relaxing and dining in the backyard under the large maple tree. Kick back and chill or show off your outdoor cooking skills on the large gas grill. There is plenty of room for parties of twelve or more.

INTERNET: Full Internet capability.

AIR CONDITIONING: No central air nor window AC, but as with most mountain homes, we open all windows once the sun goes down and close them by 9AM to keep in the cool mountain air. The house stays comfortable throughout the day if you follow this guideline. We also provide fan for each bedroom and living room.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Recreational opportunities are just minutes away with an extensive trail network for hiking, horseback riding, biking and cross country skiing. The town of Livingston has a good selection of fine and casual dining and an abundance of art galleries and unique shops. The Livingston Roundup Rodeo and parade, Summerfest and monthly downtown art walks are favorites with both locals and visitors. Yellowstone National Park is just an hour away and our well loved Paradise Valley is reachable within 15 minutes. There's so much to do that you may never want to leave!

Some of the art displayed on our walls is by Parks Reece (a friend and a nationally known artist) and other local artists. Chau is also a jewelry & metal smithing artist. Chau's cool creations can be found along with Parks' works at galleries in downtown Livingston (B-Hive, Frame Garden, Parks Reece gallery & Livingston Center for Art & Culture). You will usually meet Parks at our town summer art walks!
