Perfect for large family stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 12 adults and 2 small children stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! We made use of all the games - horseshoes, Frisbee golf, billiards, and ping pong. We brought movies to view on the DVD player. Each couple had a room of their own. We put the kids in an upstairs room near the back of the house for naps. The large, open kitchen allowed for several people to prepare food at the same time. The kitchen is well stocked with a variety of pots and pans, utensils, and serving dishes. Lots of room for roaming outside and the short walk around the pond was beautiful. We plan to rent this house again in the summer when we can make use of the pond for swimming, paddle boating, and fishing. And the most amazing thing...EVERYONE liked it!!

This was the best rental experience in the six years of family retreats!

  • 5 of 5

There was no need to seek out any other entertainment. The pool and ping pong tables were well used along with the many board games. Basketball and disc golf filled our days, as well as paddling the pond on boards and in a boat. We cooked all our meals and found the kitchen to be well stocked and spacious. Bedrooms were comfortable and appropriate to each family's needs. It was such a pleasure to begin the day with a stroll through the woods and end it with a glorious campfire. We will return!

Beautiful, well-maintained and private

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed staying at this house. They've put lots of work into the property with the trails, pond, bridges and fire pits, and there's so many good spaces to hang out. Highly recommended.

Awsome spot!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiul home was the site for a family reunion. We enjoyed the house inside and out. The large kitchen was pefect for meal prep and we enjoyed eating inside and outside. All of us, young and old, found plenty to keep us busy. The lake was perfect for boating, swimming and late night star gazing. A friendly family ping pong tournament rounded out the stay. There were a few grumbles aboout the lack of wi-fi at first but it was a welcome sight to see the teenagers engaged in other outdoor activities. The house is clean, well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. our family would love to come back to Georgetown again.

It's a fun time!

  • 4 of 5

This was our second trip to this lovely piece of property with our family. Our grown children and grandchildren love this property!

The home has the very basics that you will need so be sure and bring everything you need for your stay because the stores aren't just down the street. The only advise I would give the owners is to add a second fridge it is hard to keep things on ice, which melts quickly, for an extended stay.

We hope to return in 2019

Why The Owner chose Georgetown

Incredible tranquility and privacy. Shares a property corner with El Dorado National Forest and is adjacent to Rock Creek OHV, numerous hiking, mountain biking & equestrian trails. The lake is as beautiful as it is functional and with some hard work and a little luck, will become a self-sustaining ecosystem.

What makes this estate unique

A private, secluded, well furnished resort home with all amenities inside and out. Property has a 1 acre spring and creek-feed lake surrounded by no-mow fescue and sierra wild flowers. Its location is incredible close to University Falls, Stumpy Meadows Reservoir, Jeepers Jamboree, Rubicon Trail, Rock Creek and Mace Mill OHV staging areas, Equestrian staging area, mountain biking and hiking trails.
