4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 10+
Why Gail DeLano chose Twain Harte
My grandfather built this cabin in 1940 for his family. After my father died, my mother continued to vacation at Twain Harte with the four kids in my family. We'd stay the entire summer and loved it. Still do. Currently, my brother and I own the property, and have improved it throughout the years - new roof, foundations, siding, interior walls, new electrical, new plumbing and tankless water heater, log woodwork, new deck, a completely remodeled upstairs bath, and added a dishwasher and garbage disposal in its traditional cabin kitchen. The cabin is very updated with a vintage feel.
What makes this Cabin unique
Large flat property with parking for 10+ cars...many lots in Twain Harte are smaller with little parking. Great place for kids to safely play away from the street. Cabin sits among many tall pine trees but is less than 1/3 mile from the little town of Twain Harte, and 2/3 mile from Twain Harte Lake

Perfect way for our family to enjoy Gold Country
We had concert tickets at Big Oak Casino so I wanted to find somewhere nearby where our family of 8 could spread out and relax and extend our stay to enjoy Gold Country together. Gail’s property has a huge deck where we enjoyed a BBQ and stargazing late at night. We saw a few deer which the kids marveled at. Kitchen had all our needs even a waffle maker which made breakfast a breeze. Neighborhood is woodsy and quaint but conveniently located walking distance to great bars and restaurants, a hardware store and a 7-11. Sleeping quarters were comfortable and laid out perfectly for our configuration of 6 adults and 2 kids. Very happy we were able to bring our small dog, the mud room made it easy to keep her inside in her crate while we were coming in and out. So many board games we didn’t have a chance to play them all, and a stack of VHS movies the kids enjoyed at night. Recommend you spend a good portion of the day at the lake and do make use of the beach chairs, ice cooler, and other items in the mudroom. Overall a great fit for our simple needs and Gail was extraordinarily communicative and accommodating the whole time. Would happily visit again!
The cabin experience
Quaint cabin. Enjoyed stay. Surrounded by trees. Doe and 2 fawns visited each day. Good communication with owner.
**Note to Gail--turn garage into 5th bedroom. I discovered the hard way that I just can't do stairs. Only drawback for sleeping on sofa was grandkids woke up too early!
If you want to experience a cabin in the woods, this is the place for you. Great deck with enough seating for all. Walking distance to town for groceries, pee wee golf, or restaurants.
Great deck, parking and owner!
Really enjoyed the DeLano cabin. Huge new deck and had lots of parking for us and guests. We enjoyed being able to walk to town daily. The owner answered all questions promptly and was very considerate of our needs. Our 2 dogs were quite comfortable too. Cabin is older and kitchen is small but worked for us. Looking forward to renting again
Twain Harte Cabin
Great deck. Great sized lot. Loved the original hardware on doors etc.
Great spot for a big group
This was our third year vacationing in Twain Harte and our first stay in this cabin. We will definitely book this cabin again if we have a bigger group and it’s available. The property was everything we needed and the owner was very responsive when we had any questions.
The cabin is very spacious and well appointed. We loved the proximity to town—easy walk to mini golf and a short drive to the lake.
Great Family Trip
My family of 4 (two children, ages 6 and 2) stayed here for 6 days. It was a great cabin in a fantastic location. Easy walk to town for mini golf and afternoon cocktails
Bocce ball now available in Eproson Park, 1 1/2 blocks from the cabin
