Not for everyone.
The location was great and the cabin was not too bad. That’s the good. When we opened up the pull out couch there was a nest of some sort with acorns and feces. We had to clean it up. There was mouse feces across the pillows in the master bedroom and the sheets were still smelly from whoever stayed there previously. We asked for clean sheets which he provided. So not a huge deal, just make sure he checks the space before a renter shows up. Could have been prevented. There is a gap on the front door where everything can enter. There were a ton of stink bugs everywhere. There was also zero condiments to include salt and pepper. Not a huge deal, just bring it with you. Everything. There were dishes and silver ware. We bought some pans to bake with and left them. It is rustic but doable for the price and location. We would stay again, just communicate better with cleaning and fixing the big hole in the door.

Bad rental
When I arrived the ceiling was covered with bugs this was caused by holes in the screen and windows were open. Also on my return to the cabin on Saturday afternoon a snake was in the cabin a large hole was noticed in the front door. This property needs to be fixed before being rented again. I feel I should have a refund for this bad rental.

Rustic cabin
We actually stayed in Mallard cabin, not Deer Ridge cabin. We really enjoyed our stay there. Our grandchildren thought it was great. It was a nice rustic cabin great for outdoor adventures.
