You will feel relaxed and at home as soon as you walk through your private entrance at Ferry Walk House. Walk through the garden patio, filled with flowers in summer and enter through the French doors. Inside you will find yourself in a spacious and bright 750 sf open plan living area.

Ferry Walk House is equipped to a high standard, designed to anticipate your needs by providing everything you might want for a comfortable stay. Bathroom amenities, hair dryers, bath-robes and beach towels are provided as standard.

There are inside and outside dining areas, a living room with a comfortable L-shaped sofa, two armchairs and a fireplace, a 50" TV with Netflix, and a desk for laptops.

A full-size washer and dryer are within the suite and an iron and ironing board are provided. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of counter space and everything you will need, right down to measuring spoons!! Basics, like tea, coffee, seasonings are standard, along with tin foil, paper products etc.

The bathroom has a full-size tub with a shower and you can enjoy fluffy towels, terry-towel robes and bathroom amenities. Candles are included if you enjoy having a soak.

This is a one-bedroom suite with a second bedroom adjacent to it. The two bedrooms share a common wall and when the inner door is open between the bedrooms, guests have access to the entire ground floor of the house. Both bedrooms have high-quality mattresses and guests often comment about how well they have slept.

The 2nd bedroom has a TV with Netflix and a full size desk for a laptops or workspace. This room has a large picture window overlooking a tranquil English garden. The 2nd bedroom is available when there are more than two guests, or at an extra charge if two guests require separate bedrooms.

At the beginning or end of each day, you can open the French doors and relax in the private garden patio. You can cook on the gas BBQ and when it gets darker, enjoy twinkling patio lights and candles.

On cool nights, turn on the fire and snuggle up on the comfy L-shaped sofa. Cozy blankets are available for you to snuggle up in.

Enjoy a Netflix movie on the 50 inch flat screen TV or use the high speed Internet with WIFI. You will find plenty of books to read and a variety of board games and cards. Books and toys for small children are also available.

When your bed calls, you can slide between fresh soft linens, line-dried in summer and retaining the tang of fresh air.

Ferry Walk House is ecologically friendly. Recycling facilities provided. Only natural organic cleaning products are used.

Hello – I am a grandmother, originally from the UK and still retain the accent and British sense of humour!

I live on the main floor above the suite. While I completely respect the privacy of my guests, I am always happy to answer questions or help with directions.

Having met many people from around the world during my travels and while working in the airline and travel industry, I really enjoy continuing to meet new people without actually leaving home.

If you have children or pets, the friendly hospitality at Ferry Walk House is specifically designed to offer services that will make everyone’s stay comfortable and enjoyable. I can provide any child-related equipment you need. If I don't have it, I can arrange for rental. For your furry family member, there is a fully-fenced garden patio, towels are provided and (of course), doggy treats.

Horseshoe Bay is a unique part of West Vancouver. There is a village atmosphere and shop owners are friendly and outgoing. The mountain and sea views from the village are forever changing and unfailingly spectacular. I love where I live and when you get here, you will see why!

What makes this apartment unique

You will enjoy all the comforts of a home away from home and plenty of brochures to give you ideas about what to see and where to go. Before your arrival I will be sending you a digital "Welcome Book" giving you information that includes, directions, parking, everything you need to know about your accommodation, and -local area information. You will find a copy of this book in the suite.

Bus travel cards are provided and these can be loaded online by credit card, or at the ferry terminal. The bus stop is 2 minutes away from the house and there is an express bus service into Vancouver that takes 30 minutes.

You can hop on a ferry to Bowen Island (20 minutes), or to the Sunshine Coast (45 minutes), or Vancouver Island (90 minutes).

You can also rent a boat or take the guided "Sea Safari" tour from Sewell's Marina - 3 minutes walk from the house. You can walk to a coastal park and beach, or visit Lighthouse Park with trails running through the awe inspiring forest. The opportunities and activities are endless!

Clean, comfortable and well located.

Valerie’s apartment is conveniently located in walking proximity to many amenities. It has a fully equipped kitchen and being able to use laundry facilities was a bonus for my two-week stay. Horseshoe Bay is a wonderful community and only 20 minutes away from Vancouver. Driving along Marine Dr. was very beautiful. Valerie is a very attentive host and made sure that my stay was comfortable. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Great Location

We had a lovely week staying at Ferry Walk House. Really nice house with everything you could want for your stay, Valerie has thought of everything. The house is in a great location just 2 minutes walk to the front with shops and restaurants, the bus into Vancouver and the ferry port.

Valerie is on hand if you need help/advice.Horseshow Bay is a truly lovely place to stay and with very easy access to Vancouver makes it a perfect base.

Highly Recommended

Ferry Walk House is as it suggests - a short walk to the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay enabling travel to Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast and Bowen Island with ease. Plus an express bus link to downtown Vancouver if that`s what you want, and you are already on Route 99 for an unforgettable journey to Whistler and beyond. There is much to see around the area. Valerie has worked hard to provide everything you need for a comfortable stay including luxury extras. Her pre-arrival information pack is highly detailed and she also provides lots of local information in the accommodation to help you plan those days out. Loved the private patio and lush garden, which we made good use of. Suggest you shop on route , as only basic general store in Horseshoe Bay. Valerie had provided some staples like fruit, bottles of water, cereal, cookies and tea and coffee to get started. We had a lovely week and were sad to leave, and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great Location!

My husband and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary here for 4 nights in late May. We brought our two small dogs, so it was great to find a nice, pet-friendly place to stay. Valerie was great! She treated us like family. The place was very clean and private. The location was perfect! It really is the Ferry Walk House, so convenient to everything in the area. We loved Horseshoe Bay. There are restaurants, coffee shops, a nice park, etc. We loved just hanging out there with a latte and book in hand. We had a vehicle, but it would be easy to get around without one, public transport was abundant. The central location in West Vancouver, made it easy to either head to adventure in the mountains or the city. We took the ferry to Bowen Island (the ferry ride alone is epic with all the beautiful scenery), we went toward Whistler and explored Shannon Falls and took an awesome Gondola Ride up to the top of a mountain. Many parks in the area to take our dogs. We planned to explore the city of Vancouver more, but we were content to stay around West Vancouver and just relax. I highly recommend! Thanks Valerie.

Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver is a perfect gateway to connect you to Vancouver, Whistler Ski Resort and Vancouver Island. You will be coming to enjoy a friendly village neighbourhood with spectacular harbour and mountain views that will take your breath away. You will be just steps from the ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pub, and a child-friendly waterfront park.

Ferries are right on your doorstep. You can set off for a day trip to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, (90 minutes). Or in 20 minutes you can be in Snug Cove on Bowen Island, exploring quaint shops & deciding which restaurant looks the most appealing. Sechelt on B.C.’s scenic Sunshine Coast Is just 40 minutes away. You can visit the farmers markets, browse through the museums, or check out local festivals and events.

From Horseshoe Bay in 15 minutes or less, you can be exploring a coastal park, playing tennis, hiking through a 500-year old Douglas and Cedar fir forest, or setting off on a Sea Safari wildlife eco-tour. If you prefer to relax, you can wander down to the village for an ice-cream or coffee, or perhaps sit in the waterfront park and watch the ferries come and go. City of Vancouver – you can be in the centre of Vancouver in 30 minutes by car and there is an express bus service departing from Horseshoe Bay. The options are simply too numerous to list in detail. Numerous and diverse activities that can be enjoyed in this incredibly scenic city.

Ski and snowboarding on the local mountains is just 30 minutes away, or at Whistler (2010 Winter Olympics) is a 90 minute drive along one of the most scenic highways in the world. In summer these mountains offer endless outdoor activities and the views over Vancouver from Grouse and Cypress Mountains will stay in your mind’s eye forever.
