The ''Lone Star'' is a true Ski-in/Ski-Out resort property. The ski lifts are a short elevator ride and about a 60-meter walk to the ski slopes from our condo. We believe the three rules of premier vacation lodging are: location, location, location! The proximity to the ski lifts allows the value of the ''Lone Star'' to truly shine. Maximize your ski lift ticket / pass by spending less time getting to the slopes and more time enjoying Breckenridge's thrilling skiing.

Not only is our premier location mere steps from Peak 9's Quicksilver Lift and the Breckenridge ski school, but is within walking distance to incredible restaurants, historic Main Street shops, Performing Arts Center, bike trail (400 miles of paved bike trails!), and nearby municipal ice skating rink.

The ''Lone Star'' showcases fabulous views of Maggie Pond, the Blue River, historic Downtown Breckenridge, and, of course, the majestic Rocky Mountains which are visible from every window. At the ''Lone Star,'' inspiring views will take your breath away as it does ours each time we are here. Watch the sunrise over the mountains from the comfort of the luxurious king-sized bed. View and listen to the comforting sounds of the Maggie Pond spilling into the babbling Blue river from the Master bedroom, living room, guest bed room, and spacious condo balcony. Weather permitting, you can fall asleep to the song of the Blue river by opening a window or the balcony's sliding door.

A QUIET NIGHT'S REST

ON-SITE HEALTH CLUB (included at no extra charge)
Your rental also includes unlimited access to The Village Health Club located on the property inside The Peak Nine Inn. Pool hours are 7 AM to 10 PM and the exercise room is available from 6 AM to 11 AM. The Village Heath Club facility has four (4) outdoor hot tubs for soaking sore muscles after a fantastic day on the mountain. We also have a heated indoor-outdoor pool, aerobic and weight exercise room (with treadmill and life-cycle aerobic equipment), large steam room, dry sauna, locker room, and showers.
If you need more than our Health Club, the fabulous Breckenridge Recreation Center is just a ten-minute drive (or catch free shuttle) where for a small fee, you can enjoy wall climbing, basketball, racquetball, tennis courts, weight rooms, exercise machines, indoor running track, large lap pool for adults and. large wading pool for children, etc.

Guests can catch the Summit Stage Shuttle to all of Summit County, Keystone, Silverthorne outlet stores, & the Breck Recreation Center from a bus stop just 100 feet away! My wife and I live in Dallas, Texas. We have been married for 31 years and have
two sons, Brett and Blake. Blake, our youngest is 28 years old, single, and works as a chef in Plano, Texas. Our oldest, Brett, is 30 years old, married with a daughter, and works as a lawyer in Columbia, South Carolina.
I went to undergraduate school at The Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina and law school at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I began my career as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force, retired after 24 1/2 years, and opened my own practice. Currently, I have been practicing law for more than 46 years.
My wife attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a degree in Art History. She worked for the Dallas Museum of Art for 11 years and currently is the Executive Secretary to the Vice-Principal of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas.
I first came to Breck in 1972 as a member of the U.S. Air Force Ski Team to train for the upcoming ski season. When my wife and I got married, we honeymooned in Breck during Spring Break 1985. As our family grew, we skied all over the United States and Canada, but we always said we would come back to Breck if we ever decided to buy a ski property. Our dream came true in 2008 which culminated in the purchase of this wonderful condo.

Having skied Breck many times over the last 44 years, I believe that The Village is the premiere place to stay. It has the very best location at the top of town and at the foot of Peak 9. It provides full ski-in/ski-out capability and has views to die for. I always wanted to buy here and it wasn't until 2008 that this property became available. So, we wasted no time in purchasing it. Since my wife is a native Texan (from Houston) and I got to Texas 'as fast as I could,' our condo was decorated with that in mind. We hope that you enjoy the hospitality and warmth of our home away from home.
LOCATION - LOCATION- LOCATION! Besides that, The Village is a first-class facility with all of the amenities that any person would want in a ski resort. We have a heated garage for your car; a heated pool, 4 hot tubs, and a nicely appointed health club; elevators; restaurants, sports bars, ski shops, and a medical facility on site; high-definition television; free high-speed wi-fi; laundry facilities; and the most breathtaking views in all of Breck. When you snuggle up in front of the fireplace in the evening, you will feel the way we do - this is truly a wonderful place to spend a ski or summer vacation. Please enjoy your stay!
We had a fantastic family vacation at the "Lone Star Condo", it was very well decorated and very clean. Also, there was no noise from other neighbor tenants during our stay. Just a 50 yard walk to the slopes. I don't think you can rent a condo that can get much closer than that. Also, main street with amazing shopping and restaurants are only a block away. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who is interested in just parking their car and walking to all that Breckenridge has to offer. Thanks again to all the people behind the scenes that made some amazing memories for me and our family.
Property is a ski in/ski out at the base of peak 9. So perfectly located to start your day. Condo is decorated nicely, is spacious, clean, and has gorgeous views!! The property managers Twilla and Dale are amazing, kind, and responsive!! If it wasn’t for them our saving us by finding this unique property we would’ve been miserable. Kudos to you! We are already planning our next stay at this property for next year!
Our family stayed here on a recent ski trip to Breckenridge. The property is in a great location if you like the Peak 9 base area. Super convenient being close to town and only about 100 yards to the Quicksilver lift. The complex is very nice with underground parking, pool, health club, etc. The owners decorated the unit nicely and it stands out compared to other units in the same complex that we have seen. The kitchen is more than adequate should you choose to eat in, but with so many great restaurants within walking distance we ate out most of the time. The laundry facilities are just down the hall and relatively convenient although not in the suite. The views are great from this 5th floor unit, but you're not directly facing the mountain - you still won't be disappointed. The majority of cabinets are locked for the owners so the storage space is somewhat limited particularly in the 2nd bedroom but there are pullout drawers under the bed. We also had an issue with the cable TV and the property manager was very quick to respond. You won't go wrong booking this property - we hope to stay here again on another visit.
Twilla made our stay in Breckinridge extremely comfy, cozy. She was quick to respond to any messages and on stand-by if we needed her assistance at all during our stay. The condo was very neat, tidy and cozy. My family will for sure be going back again.
Everything about this rental was superb. I had initial questions, and Twilla got right back with me to clarify. The unit was lovely and perfect for my husband and I and our two adult children. We had more room than we needed, as it would be comfortable for 6 adults. The unit’s location is great - a few short steps out and you are on Main St. for shopping, coffee or a meal. It is also a corner unit, so you get plenty of windows with a view! Nice balcony. We would have like to stay longer in Breckenridge and the Lone Star condo!
Twilla does a good job assisting her guests. She was able to provide a parking pass at the last minute, which was greatly appreciated!
Condo was great! Awesome views and well appointed. The only downside was no washer and dryer in the unit. Laundry facilities down the hall but small loads and expensive. We will definitely be back to Breckinridge. Lots to do and incredibly beautiful!
