About Barry and Donna King
We have travelled extensively and fully understand what it means to find a safe, unique place to stay which offers an experience to last forever.
Barry and Donna King purchased this House in 2014
Why Barry and Donna King chose Sea View
We just bought this property. It was love at first sight! This house has such a beautiful design. Every room has a great view. The deck is huge. You can stroll down the lane and in 10 minutes you can walk for miles on our favourite beach.
What makes this House unique
It's hard to nail down what the most special thing about this property. Every room is special. The living room has lots of windows on three sides and you feel like you are outside. The rolling landscape with the ocean behind is simply beautiful. The dining room is perfect for large family get togethers or a romantic evening for two. The bathrooms are large and impeccable. Watch the video and you will understand!

A great stay
Al in all the house worked very well for the seven of us. Lots of room to spread out, good supply of kitchen supplies. It was nicely maintained and clean when we arrived. Although no complaints, we all thought it would have been nice to have an information booklet as an example , find out about our responsibilities for garbage disposal, a map showing us how to get to the beach.
Just a few recommendations; having small samples of bar soap, shampoo would be nice; a carrousel of spices for preparing meals, a picnic cooler for afternoon excursions would all have been handy. Thank you for a great stay.
The best location
We’re booked again for next year🏌️♀️🏌🏻♂️🏊🤗
A beautiful and convenient location. Quiet and private. Lovely views of water, sunrises and sunsets
We 6 senior ladies loved our week here, especially the living / dining area. We would suggest that the exercise room off the dining area be converted to bedroom with twin beds, with a curtain over glass door. As there were 6 of us, 2 of the ladies had to sleep in the basement which was not desirable, as there was a damp smell and they also complained of seeing bugs of some kind which we could not identify. They were mostly in the bathroom. On the top floor the 2 single beds were joined and made up as a king size. So 2 of the ladies had to sleep in the same bed. Knowing there were 6 of us, we thought this would have been set up as 2 twin beds. We were disappointed that the hot tub had sand in it and was set at a low temperature ( probably someone before us allowed children to play in it). The maintenance man came out and set the temperature, changed filter etc but the sand never did go away and so was unappealing to us and we never got use it. This was disappointing as it was one of the things that had attracted us to the house. The only other negative was that the windows were extremely hard to open. Other than that, it was a beautiful house in a stunning location and the PEI people were lovely and friendly and warm. We particularly liked the Fall Soup Festival at St. Mary’s Church and the lobster everywhere.
Stunning Postcard Worthy Views in a very peaceful, close to everything setting!
The ONLY reason I did not give this a 5 star is very petty...my pet peeve no matter where we travel...the cloth shower curtains that are SO smelly...they either need to have plastic liners to keep them from getting wet or they need to be laundered, with bleach after every rental to prevent the mildew and smell. I washed them as soon as we arrived but it did not help much. There..my OCD rant is over 🙄 I wish I could have taken only 1/4 of a star off because......
Other than that petty detail...this house was perfect...SO much room and privacy for our party of 7 and the owners were very accommodating by converting the 2 twin bedrooms into king beds. In all honesty I could have slept on the living room sofa...so comfy! The kitchen was stocked well enough for 8 people (which, for me, translates to “there were plenty of wine glasses!”) I spent a lot of time coveting the beautiful dining room table and living room coffee table! The deck was huge with plenty of seating for dining and relaxing...and THOSE VIEWS ... and the BEACH...about a 20 minute walk down the red dirt road (maybe 10 or 15 if you are not old!) and worth every step..you can also drive if you prefer to get there in 2 minutes. This my husband’s and my 5th trip to the island and we admit this was, hands down, our favorite beach..very private, clean, amazing sunrise, walk forever, amazing sand bars to walk out to during lower tide, the red cliffs.
So, to sum it up...I would SO reccommend this house for families with small children ( a room with a queen and a room with 2 twins and a full bath upstairs), teenage children (private “inlaw” suite on ground level with room with 2 twins, room with a game table and private den with tv, and bathroom with shower), and granny and grampa could have the master bedroom on the main floor.
And quite honestly, if our 6th trip is just the 2 of us, I will hope this place will be available. Thank you for a beautiful, memorable vacation!
Clean, pretty, and well stocked.
The house was very pretty and clean. It wasn't as close to the ocean as I thought it would be, but I didn't figure that our until after we had made the reservation. The lupine's were in bloom while I was there and they lined the road to the house. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances. One thing I wish they would of had was a fan for the upstairs bedrooms. It got pretty warm during the day and so the upstairs got hot.
Well maintained, well built, full of sunlight vacation home with plenty of amenities.
