Great family home in a lovely location
Group of 4 adults and 4 kids aged 3 months to 7 years. Had a great time - loads to do in Cobble Hill and easy access on the F line to Manhattan. Look forward to returning
Excellent stay great location and very spacious
Very spacious and comfortable property we enjoyed the stay . Instructions for tv , wifi was clear, the kitchen was comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the stay. We were lucky with the parking spot outside the house and
every small detail was taken care of . We did not miss anything . Claire was in touch with us and responded immediately to any queries. Will highly recommend for large families visiting New York.
Great location, great time in NYC and Brooklyn...
We recently spent 6 days at this lovely Cobble Hill house with our kids. We really enjoyed the house, and the peacefull neighborhood. The two rooms on the first level are very large so we didn’t have to use the basement at all. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to enjoy the inviting garden because we were so busy visiting NYC every day. Next Time, we have to stay one more week!
If your stay seemed too short, please come back! You are welcome any the house is available. It was a pleasure having you and your family. Thank you for your pleasant communication throughout your stay.
Nice Neighborhood and Great Family Home
We loved the home. It had enough room and bathrooms to accommodate our large extended family. The neighborhood was quiet and close to shopping, restaurants and stores. The back yard is beautifully landscaped with seating, charcoal grill and table space. Thank you Claire for reaching out to provide us with with additional details on your home. We enjoyed your home and had a pleasant stay.
So glad you liked Brooklyn and the house met your needs. Please come back in the future!
This home is beautiful and the neighborhood perfect for our stay!
We fell in love with Brooklyn! Loved this Brownstone and tree lined streets in this upscale neighborhood. Very close to the Subway and always felt safe walking to and from, even very late at night. Subway made it very easy to get around as we spent time in Manhatten, Queens, and Long Island. The home was very comfortable for our four adults and four teenagers. Spent time in the beautiful garden out back. Claire was so accomodating and willing to help us with anything we needed. Definitely would recommend this great home for your stay in New York!
Location and lovely!
Our stay at Cobble Hill was delightful! Super location to Bergen St. Subway, quaint non-stop shopping and dining and wonderful ambiance in the neighborhood.
The home was nicely appointed with plenty of room for a family of six. The grandkids loved the TV room and their beds! The master suite had updated master bathroom, comfortable king bed, TV and lots of books! The whole home had libraries everywhere. The "kids" room had a full-size bunk and single bunk above it, so the other adults slept there. In the basement is another bedroom and the washer and dryer.
We enjoyed the Sunday Street Fair on Smith St. with lots of music, clothing, jewelry and food! That was an add on bonus!
The only negative is that there was food in the refrigerator as it's a family home, so I would suggest that at least two shelves be cleaned and designated for the future guests. Our grandson mistakenly drank very old almond milk on his cereal as he didn't realize we had bought some fresh, thankfully he didn't get sick!
We now know Brooklyn and love it!
So glad you and your grandkids loved Brooklyn! Isn't it the perfect New York CIty experience?
Please come back soon!
Bienvenue à Cobble Hill, one of New York City's most European-feeling enclaves. Our custom-appointed, 19th-century brownstone is surrounded by a neighborhood that is both quaint—this is a landmarked historical district of townhouses, trees and parks—and vibrant, with new artisan boutiques, restaurants, coffeeshops and bars sprouting up seemingly every day. In one direction, you have famous Smith Street, with its nightlife and scene-making, in the other, the stunning, harborside Brooklyn Bridge Park, with its green spaces for walking, biking or lolling about, its ferry to Governor's Island, Sunday food-fair and jaw-dropping views of the Manhattan skyline. Manhattan itself is an eight-minute walk to the subway and two stops away—or an easy stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Our home is the extensively-renovated owners' duplex of our brownstone townhouse, offering two big, high-ceilinged bedrooms upstairs, with a third bedroom possibility in the downstairs sunroom. There are three full, custom-tiled bathrooms, a cook's kitchen with stainless-steel Viking appliances and a leafy, private garden that feels miles away from the city.
