Wonderful place--will be back!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week at the cottage and it was great. Carman and Jim are wonderful hosts and helped to make our stay (where we celebrated our 15th anniversary) really special. We got to watch the trees change into their beautiful autumn colors from the lovely front porch and the mornings with the sun and clouds on the mountains was awesome. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and the area itself is great. We took a few hikes within easy driving distance that were outstanding, there are numerous waterfalls in the area, and of course, the zip lining was fun! I would recommend this cottage to those who like privacy, nature, and fresh mountain air!

Beautiful cottage!! Perfect place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for! Jim and Carman were absolutely wonderful! They were so nice and were very helpful with anything we needed. They made the whole process, from start to finish, personal and you felt like you've known them forever. There were so many personal touches throughout the cottage from fresh flowers to the yummy homemade pound cake and cards that are waiting for you when you enter. The cottage is so bright and airy and relaxing...and the front porch is completely inviting! The cottage was fully stocked...anything you might need was there and ready to be used. The pullout couch was quite comfy as well! There are many things to do that are close by, but there are also so many things to do on the property that you could stay there all day & not get bored! My children, mom & I completely loved it and definitely look forward to staying there again! It could not have been a more perfect place!

Perfect!!!

  • 5 of 5

There is only one word to describe the cottage and that is PERFECT, from the time you walk in the door to find a wonderful pound cake and a card welcoming you to the cottage along with a list of favorite places to eat. We were celebrating our anniversary, Jim and Carman had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. We could not have asked for a more peaceful relaxing perfect place to stay. Thank you Jim and Carman for sharing your perfect cottage with us. We will be back for another stay.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION- CANT WAIT TO RETURN

  • 5 of 5

If ever there was a PERFECT getaway.. this would be it. We celebrated my 50th birthday by planing a last minute trip to NC. It was our first vacation together, and due to life priorities, my first time away from my children in over 18 YEARS. This cottage was not to disappoint. Carman and Jim are the nicest people and made our stay effortless. The cottage has everything we needed, and wanted. We truthfully, never left once we got settled in with groceries, and necessities. The property has everything we could have spent days looking for and dollars paying for. Hiking trails, streams, panning for gold and copper, waterfalls, fishing, relaxing, napping, marathon movie watching, cooking a yummy dinner and sitting on the front porch listening to the soft sound of our chosen music playing while the Tennessee river runs right down In front of the cottage ... it was perfection in and of itself. The fire pit going in the evening, the rain on the tin roof in the afternoon for our power nap, and the spectacular swings that have a different view from each one were just a few of the amenities that come with staying at this property. There isn’t a more reasonably priced, bang for our buck, property anywhere...Carman and Jim were most helpful. From directions to the smallest detail, they were a call or text away, though NEVER intrusive. The sweetest bday card, slices if heavenly homemade cake were on the counter waiting when we arrived. I promise you, this property is nothing short of perfect for a couples long weekend getaway or small family’s vacation. Thank you Carman and Jim for making my 50th birthday the most memorable bday yet!! We are so grateful for your hospitality and cant wait to come back, truthfully, we would have preferred to never leave! We are pulling out our planning calendars this week to book again SOON. Save our spot on the front porch, we can hardly wait to return. Sydney and Phil
