About this property

Get Away Now!!! 2200 sqft Luxury Condo Tamarindo

Embark on your ‘Pura Vida’ (Pure Life) Vacation in the heart of Costa Rica’s Famous Gold Coast where our Panoramic Condo is in Playa Tamarindo. Our Spacious, 2,200 sf Condo is a short walk to the mile- long beach, featuring surfers and restaurants right on the beach. Why wouldn't you consider booking our Luxurious Spacious, 2,200' sf Condo featuring in the Great Room three floor to 12' to ceiling, 15 ' Wide German Imported Deck Doors in all 3 bedrooms. It's our condo is a short, five minute walk to Playa Tamarindo, with Top of Line coffee spots, Restaurants, fine dining, even a small Casino, Surfing rentals stores and lessons., Because the Sun rises and sets year round 6 to 6, being able to walk around after 6 offers is a major option versus watching t.v. Many restaurant choices are right on the beach, overlooking the surf and surfers. The architect of our building also designed the International Airport in the capital, San Jose, so the developer spared no expense for the most important considerations like a good night sleep. Built to Earth Quake standards, our LaPerla Condominium Edifice is undeniably spectacular. It is obvious the developer hired top of line architect, who also designed the Airport in the Capitol, San Jose. He also chose the best materials for construction from preferring German Technology, the best in the world. The oversized Schindler, German imported elevators are huge . You won't feel cramped as I've experience in other complexes. German imported humungous windows and deck doors in all major rooms, including 3 in the kitchen. You’ll feel like you’re practically outdoors. Comments by guests will testify to this description.
Our 3-Bedroom, 3-full-bath, LaPerla Condo has a 24 hour Security Station. The assigned INDOOR Parking space is a major benefit where your car will not be an Oven. The condo itself is accentuated with Contemporary Furniture, Imported from Sweden, Denmark and Italy so are very durable and comfortable. The Great Room: Kitchen/ living room is where you’ll spend most of your time. The Main Deck, 15 ‘X15’ Round deck is strategically located off of the Great Room and is the main deck where most people can sit , any time of day, as the canopies provide protection from the direct rays of the Sun. See the picture of the exterior of the building for this feature. The living room is equipped with a 55” Sony T.V. and an
L-Shaped Italian Sectional , Imported ,Swedish glass coffee table etc. in the kitchen area for an Extra Large Center Island. The adjacent dining room sits 7 with 4 chairs and a bench, See the picture. There are 3 Bedrooms, One massive Master Bedroom ensuite ,double sink, shower and jacuzzi, a walk - in closet, a 40” TV. and a bonus pull-out queen sofa and private deck facing the Ocean. The other Ensuite is also very large with a walk-in closet, King Size Pillow - top mattress, a desk and full size bathroom and deck with black out curtains for a good night’s sleep. The third bedroom has two Bassett Twin Beds also with pillow top mattresses, a Cedar Closet and the third full bathroom.
It’s a five minute walk to the beach, town, coffee shops and restaurants, small Casino, and shopping. Accomodations offered in nearby locations emphasize their proximity to Tamarindo. There’s a reason why proximity to Tamarindo is emphasized so why not just be right “ in Tamarindo? “Our La Perla Building, with its very large 15” Round can easily be seen when walking the beach, (please see photo) Playa Tamarindo, as it’s situated up on the hillside, and just a five minute walk to the beach and small town of Tamarindo. It’s far enough from the active town to get a good night sleep, not always the case in other buildings. The weather is totally reliable. Expect a Sunny days when you open the blinds except October which can be rainy. I was there in October once and it was an experience witnessing the torrential rain which lasted 15-30 minutes and then amazingly the sun came out.
If possible, fly into the International Airport in Liberia which is currently expanding for more flight, obviously because of demand by vacationers. I usually book the Tamarindo Shuttle the first and last day of my vacation if I’m traveling alone. $20/person and relax and enjoy a very scenic and interesting drive to and from the airport which is just an hour away. Booking a car prior to arriving Tamarindo is highly recommended by my sons who always drive around a lot and why not especially if there are 3 or more in your party.
We furnished our Ocean/Mountain View La Perla residence, with the best for ourselves and for our guests. We shopped in Escazu, a very wealthy location in San Jose, where we purchased our Imported Italian Sectional, Denmark Sculptured Curved Glass T.V. stand and coffee table and bedroom furniture. Just take a look at the pictures.
Other reasons why Playa Tamarindo is so much in demand is the walkable one mile sandy beach. It’s the calmest and safest for swimming or taking beginner surfing lessons although there are times when even advanced surfers come. It’s the only beach that has Life Guards, and Restaurants right on the beach. Million dollar plus homes tower up in the hills in Tamarindo. There are at least 60 restaurants in the town from extremely high levels to cafeteria level. It’s location between Playa Grande on one side which is for advanced surfers and swimmers is a short boat ride across the estuary. Playa Langosta on the other side also for advanced surfers but there’s minimal beach for walking. Playa Tamarindo’s one mile long sandy beach doesn’t get any better for a great walk . In the evenings people take pictures as they watch the Sunset over the Pacific. Playa Tamarindo , with many restaurants right on the beach, can enjoy a meal while watching the fishermen, and birds diving for their meals, and the surfers, right on the beach.
Since the sun rises and sets year round at 6, it’s important to be able to walk in the evening to restaurants, shopping, gyms, even a small Casino etc. Just give it a try or just relax at our large Community pool or use the exercise equipment in the Gym Building located above the pool/ or enjoy cooking at our State of the Art bar-b-cue area with spectacular views of the Pacific and the mountains in the background. .
The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel G.E. appliances, built-in microwave and convection oven plus all the smaller appliances every kitchen should have, and two coffee pots, just in case one malfunctions.
Sleeping quarters: Three bedrooms, 3-full bathrooms, 2 ensuites with walk-in closets and king beds. The master bedroom is also equipped with a pull-out queen sofa, and a 40” t.v. The third bedroom has 2 single beds, a Cedar Closet and night stand.. All 3 bedrooms have decks. All three bedrooms have huge floor to ceiling windows on the wall to the deck. You can see the mountains and the obstructed view of the ocean from every room. It’s absolutely amazing, built, of course, to Earthquake standards unlike other new or older buildings in town. The windows are what make it so amazing rather than the usually layout for a condo of one sliding glass door at the end of the kitchen location. You just can’t get away from the outside unless you close the room darkening blinds . It doesn’t get any better, any more private or peaceful but it’s difficult to stop looking out all of the windows which I’ve already emphasized enough.
Choose us for all of these reasons. The reviews from our guests tell the story often better than I do. We offer you our home to enjoy as much or more than we do if that’s possible.

REFUND POLICY: If you have a problem, it would be our pleasure to work with you to reschedule. Consider Costa Rica for your Vacation this year

This condo was the perfect size for the six of us. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, we were never walking on top of each other. The kitchen was big enough to prepare meals (which we didn’t use as often as we should). However, the place we liked best was the balcony. We spent early mornings and evenings watching the monkeys and enjoying the breezes on the balcony. Although the beach was a little further than expected, we didn’t mind the walk— the condo was worth it. I also liked the safety of having it gated with a security guard. We would definitely stay here again.

Great sunset view
This condo unit has a second floor balcony that faces the ocean and the sunsets. The entire place has comfortable beds & furniture and being on the second floor easy access via stairs or of course, the elevator. The unit could use some maintenance but nothing beyond cosmetic. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, plates, drinking glasses and cooking utensils. The host was very responsive and showed us that she cared about our experience.

Beautiful balcony and luxury condo
The 2nd floor balcony was luxurious, comfortable and lovely for our group of 6 to enjoy. The condo was spacious with separate bathrooms for each bedroom and excellent communal spaces. We loved our stay in Tamarindo! Thank you.

Stayed seven nights. Pros: Bright, airy, and spacious. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen was excellent. Washer & dryer. Safe and quiet. Beautiful grounds. Nice gym, pool, and BBQ area. Enjoyed the sunsets and howler monkeys from the balcony. Good location, except see below. Cons: Condo needs maintenance and upkeep. Texture peeling off walls, cabinet trim falling off, a doorknob falling off. Nightstand lamp broken and stored in closet. Cleanliness issues. Buildup on glass shower enclosure and tile in master and hairball from another guest still in shower. Manager sent a maid and she still did not clean the hair. Other guests' hair had been moped into the bathroom floor. White water stains on refrigerator door. Refrigerator water filter indicator light flashing. The couch had large gross, stains down the side. I notified property manager and owner. The manager was difficult to reach and slow to respond. By the time he responded, I usually had fixed the problem. I called the owner who was polite and responsive about the WiFi being out. If the cleanliness and manager responsiveness issues are resolved, I highly recommend staying here. Expedia advertises the property as a 1-minute walk from the beach. It is NOT. It is 500M and a 5-7-minute hilly walk, which was fine but it should not be advertised as a 1-minute walk. There are multiple units for rent in this complex. Before booking this one, check out laperlatamarindo dotcom for your options.

2006 marked our first visit to Costa Rica. I was advised to book something on the Pacific. Our first visit in 2006 we initially put deposits on two condos which were a 25 minute drive to Tamarindo and which Thank God, fell through. Flamingo was supposed to have a Mall and Marina coming. It's 2019 and that development never happened but it was a great selling point for those who bought the story. We returned in 2008, but this time booked a Condo with the absolute agreement that we were returning for the beauty and would “Absolutely and Positively" not buy. Obviously, that didn’t happen either. The condo we booked in Langosta was too long of a walk on a dirt road in the 88-95 weather with the sun beating down on you so we drove to Tamarindo rather than walking. We were scheduled to return home in two day when we finally got to see the Impressive LaPerla Condo Building perched up on a hill that was under construction. When I saw it was 2200 sq. ft., a 50% deposit was easy to part with immediately in 2008.
We closed 2 1/2 years later in July 2011. On our visit first vacation in 2006, we drove to Tamarindo everyday where there’s a town, people, activity, surf,.: Where there was something going on. Also, having two sons, we wanted a location that would entice them to come. Tamarindo has the right surf for beginners. It sits between Playas Langosta and Playa Grande for the advanced surfers. You can walk along the seashore to Playa Langosta or walk across or take a $2 boat ride across the Estuary to Playa Grande. The water is refreshing and warm everywhere. It's sunny every day. You can walk to grocery stores, Medical Clinic , even a tennis court 3 minutes from us.all of which are between 2-6 minute walk.

Why they chose this property

We were looking to buy a luxury property to spend time away from the cold winters of the northeast. After some research we were told Costa Rica is the "Switzerland of Central America." We traveled to Costa Rica numerous times to pick a spot and found ourselves going to Tamarindo everyday. Tamarindo has the best combination of beaches, restaurants and friendly people. Laperla condos were the ultimate in luxury with views of Tamarindo beach and the surround town/mountains which was far enough from town to relax but a short walk.

What makes this property unique

The two condos we had put deposits on had Tunnel Vision like most condos everywhere with the exception being LaPerla Condos. The floor to ceiling windows and deck doors provide panoramic views of the Beach and Mountains. It reminds me of ‘Frank Lloyd Wright’s unique “one-with-nature" Design. The 15x15 round deck off of the kitchen is equipped with very comfortable, quality chairs and table. This is where you'll spend a lot of time relaxing and taking in the views. Exceptionally large canopies provide total protection from the direct rays of the sun. You can sit outside all day without needing any artificial protection from the sun and at the same time see and hear Ocean Sounds . The howling monkeys nest and swing from the branches of the trees across from the 2 major decks. You’ll see iguanas scurrying across the streets as you approach or up trees. Plenty of iguanas everywhere but they,ll run away if you come anywhere near them so Not to Worry.
Bedrooms: Taking into consideration the hot climate, I thought it best to encase the king and twin mattresses and all pillows in allergenic covers.
There are screens on the doors if you don't like air-conditioning. You may enjoy the ocean breeze at night or during the day, throughout most of year. September and October, especially, will probably be rainy, amazing downpours that last 10 minutes or so and the Reliable Sun comes out. It's not usually the best time to be there. The year I was there in October, I really didn’t experience the excessive rain so I was told. I found the downpours amazing, something I'd never experienced so I go down many different times of the year.I have a, very trustworthy and amazing property manager that I trust completely recommended by some Americans who own a condo in our building.
