Lots of outdoor activities. Winery is in walking distance just 0.6 miles away. 34 mile trail to North Carolina. World famous Barter Theatre 8 miles away. Enjoy the arts and outdoors in scenic Southwest Virginia.
Cottage is equipped with High speed Wi-fi. All televisions are SmartTV's, perfect for accessing your Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime accounts, etc. Linens and towels provided.
Easy drive to Bristol Motor Speedway. Race fans will love the shortcut drive to raceway. 3 night stays are required for all weekends, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day (all holiday weekends) weekends in September and October and Bristol Race weekends.

Nice, quiet getaway
It was nice and quiet, and the owners are very friendly. Great trails and scenic area, would recommend to others and stay here again if ever in the area.

Great, cozy retreat
Loved my stay at this beautiful property. Everything I needed in one place. Although it *is* a drive to anything, it's okay because the peace and quiet is perfect. Short, easy drive into town(s). SO close to winery, which was perfect. Swings across the street. Check-in was easy, and place was spotless. As others have said, please note there's no stove or oven, but there's a hotplate. Will stay again for sure. Thank you for a great weekend!

Perfect location for bicycling
Spacious, clean, peaceful location, exceedingly comfortable mattress (an absolute rarity), generous snacks/waters, well-appointed, nice linens, secure/attached bike storage shed, large/high-quality televisions, enormous sofa, porch (!), communicative owners. Across the road is a remarkable gazebo with atypical ethereal chimes and bench swings where watching the river meander through the forest evoked altered consciousness and wonderment at nature...yielding gratitude for mere existence. Just FYI (of no consequence to us): no stove or dishwasher.

Great location right on the Creeper trail
This is a very clean and well maintained house. They even have a secure bike storage room that is attached to the house. It contains plenty of room for your bikes and has electricity so you can charge your e-bikes.

Alvarado is a historical community with lots to offer those who love the outdoors. Bring your bikes, kayaks, hiking shoes, fishing poles and a camera! Memories are sure to be made in this lovely picturesque location. The sounds of the Holston River will put you to sleep each night after a day spent in the fresh mountain air.

This property conveniently is located directly right on the Virginia Creeper Trail and a few steps away from the Holston River. Just out and you are on the trail! Also, within walking distance is the Abingdon Vineyard and Winery. Make reservations for a night at the world famous Barter Theatre which is just a close drive into town. Race fans also take advantage of our convenient drive to the Bristol International Raceway.
