Super reliable cell and internet! Professionally cleaned every stay. No dirt or gravel roads. Only 1.5 miles off a major highway. 6 miles to downtown, Biltmore, West Asheville, River Arts and more. Short term rentals are welcome. No worries about reservation being cancelled.

*Owners are offsite and the driveway is all yours.

*Very private on wooded half-acre with bird/wildlife viewing, but just walk to the end of our street, cross the Blue Ridge Parkway and walk onto the huge trail system including the Mountain to Sea Trail with access to a folk art center and the Parkway Visitor Center.

*Year round road accessibility.

*The Mountain Biker's favorite location, Bent Creek is only a 15 min drive away.

*Short drive to downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate, Funky West Asheville, River Arts Distric, waterfalls, and more. Some of the best restaurants in the country are to be found in this area.

*A brand new state of the art Whole Foods just opened a few miles away. Several other healthy or conventional grocery stores are also just minutes away.

*Rain roof over the downstairs patio, so that you can sit on the Adirondack chairs in front of the propane firepit, and sip your coffee, wine or beer come rain or shine!

Upstairs includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds, large closets and two full baths, living room, fully equipped kitchen, eating area, & furnished deck with grill. Large room downstairs with queen bed, sitting area with full-size foldout sofa, very tiny half bath, electric fireplace and walk out to patio with firepit and chairs. All bedding/pillows/towels, etc. are supplied, including for fold-out sofa.

The kitchen just received a new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, popcorn maker, crockpot, blender, and more. We are always improving for your comfort. This is city water, so pressure and supply are totally reliable. There are plenty of plates, glasses, cooking vessels and utensils, dish soap/detergent, towels and paper towels, placemats, etc.

There are ceiling fans in all rooms, four window air-conditioners, but the evenings are always cool in the mountains.

The two full bathrooms have all the towels needed, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and toilet paper.

Living room has a sofa, loveseat, chair and large ottoman, cable flat-screen T.V, wi-fi, and free Netflix account.

Downstairs has a queen bed, and a sitting area with a pullout double bed sofa, and electric fireplace.

There is a portable crib and highchair, stroller, and baby-gate. Upper deck has a gate on it, too.

Furnishings are very clean, uncluttered and comfortable, plus we continue to add key pieces for their interesting, eclectic nature, such as the candlestick tables and lamps, a bureau/wardrobe with a surprising feature in one of the drawers, a blast-from-the-past bureau with original sales brochure, a funky framed collection of nutritional trading cards, a cute diorama in the hallway, and more.

Why Linda Lazar Curatolo chose Asheville

This is the perfect location to absorb all that Asheville has to offer. It's walkable to hiking trails but close to Downtown Asheville food, art, music, shopping, brewing, history and culture. Even gems such as Biltmore Estate, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, waterfalls and national parks are within minutes! The Blue Ridge Parkway is around the corner, and the Mountain to Sea Trail which connects with many other trails is within walking distance to the house.

What makes this house unique

Excellent connectivity, for cell phone and internet service. The view of the mountains from the back of the house, and the view of the woods in any direction is beautiful and soothing. Only one neighbor is nearby and unobtrusive to the privacy this neighborhood offers. If you are a hiker, biker or even a birdwatcher this is an amazing location, but not isolated from the city conveniences. You can walk to the trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is the road next to yours, yet drive to top destinations such as the Biltmore Estate, Funky West Asheville, Downtown Asheville and even Black Mountain in minutes. The close proximity to the major expressways, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet in a wooded setting, is probably one of the best combinations you could hope for in the area.

Our group included a retired couple, a newly engaged couple and an 89 year old Granny. It suited our group to a T. The exterior steps were a bit of a challenge to Granny, but with good help, she made it twice daily. We visited Biltmore, took a trolley tour of Asheville, and ate well. I texted Linda twice about restaurants and a TV question and got answers quickly. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking with great selection of appliances and spices. For me the real question is... would you stay here again? Our answer? YES! Thank you Linda and happy New Year....

  • There are enough towels for 6+ people, a generous supply of body soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap. We try to leave enough toilet paper for your stay, but it is at least a starter for those extended stays. We use a professional cleaning service for every new guest. We converted the home to city water so that there is always a reliable source, and great water pressure.

Ceiling fan, views from both windows, newly carpeted for comfort. Plenty of pillows and fresh clean linens provided for each stay. Master bedroom is down the hall from the living area, so it is quiet even when the rest of your family or friends are still up. The second bedroom upstairs is a queen bed, with dresser, rocker, double closet, with 2 luggage racks, hangers, carpeted, ceiling fan, 2 windows with views. 3rd bedroom is in downstairs and has a queen bed, dresser, closet, 2 luggage racks, half-bath attached, sitting area with pull-out double sofa, electric fireplace, door to patio w/firepit, laundry nook and window views. Comfortable, homey, convenient, complete.

Here on business so we didn't spend a lot of time at the property, but everything about it was really nice, and the owner went out of her way to make our stay comfy and convenient. If ever in Asheville again, we'll definitely rebook.

Great location, great stay for the price!

This house was perfect for us. We had two adult couples and our teenage daughter. The two bedrooms upstairs had plenty of room and there were two full baths so we each had our own bathroom. My daughter had the whole basement to herself and there was even a tiny half bath down there which was convenient for her. She enjoyed the fireplace down there too! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view was beautiful and it was around a 15 min drive to Biltmore House, which is what brought us down there in the first place. Finally, I’d like to say that I’ve stayed in several rental houses and this one had the most reasonable security deposit and the easiest rules for checking out out of any I’ve stayed in. Thank you Linda!

Our Stay at 65 Lover's Loop

The house was situated in a quiet area, minutes from downtown Asheville and minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, a perfect location.

The owner, Linda Curatolo, was very helpful.

Generally, we found the house fit our needs. We made use of the deck and the patio, especially in the evenings.

A few suggestions: The downstairs half bathroom was very tiny and made use difficult. A solution might be to take part of the closet and make the half bath larger and more functional.

Since we ate two dinners there, supplying the kitchen with some good cutting/carving knives would've been helpful.

We found the house to be clean when we arrived. However, we would suggest the owner discourage renters from leaving half-used food items.

We would recommend the house to others.

As for the tiny bath, since there are two full baths with showers and bathtubs we have decided to remove the tiny “half” bath from the listing description until we can decide on it’s future. Short drive to several golf courses, Western North Carolina Nature Center (rescued wolves on site) and petting zoo, North Carolina Arboretum, Biltmore Estate including a wine tasting room, Downtown Asheville with its shops, galleries, museums, huge variety of independent restaurants, nearby artsy town of Black Mountain, outdoorsy resort town of Lake Lure, and more. Too many festivals to list, including the annual Moog Fest (electronic music) right here in Bob Moog's headquarters, The twice annual arts and music L.E.A.F Fest featuring blue grass, world music, funk, soul, rock you name it, plus indie food stands, healing arts and camping. This is one of the Microbrewery capitals in the U.S. hence lots of Beer Festivals, Beer Tasting, Brewery Tours and a crazy biking/beer tasting concept around town with Beer City Bikes. For the flip side of drinking in this area be sure to visit Dobra Tea which offers incomparable worldly offerings both in tea served in their own authentic vessels and in ambiance, found in both Asheville and Black Mountain. There are dozens of music venues large and small, such as Isis Music Hall, Asheville Music Hall, the legendary Rock venue Orange Peel which Rolling Stone magazine included it in its list of 'Top Five Rock Clubs in the Country.
