About this property

Gatlinburg Luxury Cabin, 4 Master Bdrms, Theater, Game Rm, Hot Tub, Perfect!

Gatlinburg Mountain Escape is a gorgeous, three level cabin with four master bedrooms and a spectacular view that sleeps twelve (or more, if small children). You can really appreciate the 'take-your-breath-away' views all year round from anywhere on the 800 square feet of deck. At night, you even have a quiet view of the city lights of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville with the cabin lights sparkling throughout the valley below.

Your next cabin vacation to Gatlinburg's Mountain Escape provides every modern convenience without affecting the quiet solitude of the mountains. The high speed wireless router allows for plenty of bandwidth for everyone to be using the internet at the same time.

The main floor has a living area, kitchen, and dining area that is a large, open space with enough room for the whole family to enjoy each other's company.

The living room offers a graceful sofa, two large chairs; french doors to the main level deck with a gas grill off the dining area. The 40” flat-screen TV above the gas fireplace is connected to an Apple TV & Samsung BluRay player has apps built-in for viewing Netflix, HuluPlus, or every other popular streaming service.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped, has a well-designed dining table that seats eight, and the kitchen breakfast bar offers four pub-style saddle stools. Sit in the rocking chairs on the deck while you drink your morning coffee and listen to the sounds of nature float up from the valley. Enjoy the magnificent view as the sun rises behind you and begins to shine on Bluff Mountain as late morning begins to settle in.

Every bedroom is a master and is basically identical to the others with a king bed, 32” LED TV, the same Samsung BluRay with apps found throughout the cabin, electric fireplace, and private bathroom.

Each bedroom has a door to the deck with private seating to enjoy the solitude of the cabin and the relaxing environment that surrounds it.

The main floor master bathroom has a jetted tub for 2, pedestal sinks, and a shower.

The upper-level decks are private and accessed from each bedroom. They offer the most impressive views in the cabin.

Between the bedrooms is the loft with a spacious sitting area, a stylish and comfortable sofa, a pub table for cards, a desk for working remotely, a 40" tv, and windows out the front and back of the cabin.

In addition, there is a small business center area equipped with a desk, high-speed internet connection, printer, fax, scanner, and copier for your use while on the road. So, we have removed any reason for you to rush back to the office. Why not extend your stay for the entire week, even if you have a little work to do (just don't forget to take time for yourself).

The lower-level features are full of fun and games. There is a 7 1/2 foot bar-sized pool table, arcade machine, wet bar, microwave, and mini-fridge to stock for convenience. There are also theater seats at the back of the theater room, so everyone in your party can watch movies or view pictures together on the 70 inch LED High Definition TV screen with a powerful sound bar.

The home theater area with its gigantic 70” LED TV with apps has a Samsung BluRay with apps, AppleTV, and full cable tv.

The bathroom on the lower level has a full tub and shower with a double sink and counter with plenty of room to spread out.

The lower-level deck is spacious and still higher than the closest neighbor's roof. It holds a six-person hot tub for all to enjoy and listen to music or watch a movie that is being shown inside the theater room.

A stacked washer and dryer is located in a large closet behind the wet bar with an iron and board if you are in the area for a more formal affair.

Regardless of why you came to the Great Smoky Mountains, we want you to enjoy the cabin so much, you'll have trouble leaving in the morning and will be rushing to get back at night.

Beautiful isolated cabin & Location
We stayed here for a family trip, the location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was great (easy access to trails and the attractions). Getting to the property is a bit of a challenge (geographically speaking, the hosts had great directions), but once your there amazing views, a well cared for property and distant fireworks nightly from Dollywood await you. We saw wildlife multiple days during our stay, so take care to to protect food & trash from the local bear population.

Absolutely wonderful!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin and everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and lovely. The ends were so comfortable and there was plenty of room for all 8 of us. The pool table was a big hit for the kids! The big screen tv was perfect for the UK basketball game for the whole family. The owners were super helpful and quick to answer any questions. The roads were a bit difficult, like straight up and down, but other than that it was great. No complaints.

Amazing!
It was the perfect place to experience Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! Great location. Awesome view. Accommodations were perfect for our family of 10! We loved the downstairs and enjoyed the pool table, theater seating for watching football over the Thanksgiving weekend, and video games! The fireplaces in every bedroom were great and appreciated on the cold nights. Mark was immediately reachable when we had a couple of questions. We'd love to return again!

Amazing view and lovely cabin, unfortunately it was also very dirty
Our group consisted of my husband and I, our 18month old, my parents, and his parents. The good - The view as advertised was the primary reason we chose this cabin, and it did not disappoint - truly amazing. You do drive up some small, winding, steep roads to get there, but it is doable. Worth mentioning that one of our vehicles had difficulty getting up the hill when wet. The cabin offers plenty of space and having 4 bedrooms with king beds was a definite plus, though if you are looking for truly equivalent bed/baths for 4 couples the ones upstairs are not as nice (bad carpet and tiny showers) as the ones on the bottom and main levels (newer carpet and nicer bathrooms). The kitchen is very well equipped and has pretty much everything we could want. The bad: It was really dirty when we checked in. There were crumbs under the kitchen table, hair on bathroom counters. The shower stalls in the upstairs bathrooms are very small and the curtains were covered in mold. The smell was overwhelming when we entered the shower and then we had to shower in a tiny space trying not to touch anything. While the sheets were of very nice quality, there was a stain on a pillowcase in our bedroom that I am pretty sure was blood. Will also mention that while the bottom and main floors have very nice flooring, the carpet upstairs appears quite old and just seems dirty/dingy in general. My mom and mother-in-law both let me know that their bathrooms were quite dirty as well. I let the owner/manager know about the condition of the cabin early on in our stay, in part because I wanted him to know and in part because I did not want to be charged for the stained pillowcase (there are many signs throughout the cabin letting guests know that if they damage the linens they will be charged for them). In addition to requesting pictures (which I did spend vacation time providing), he said, "I will send the cleaners back to replace and reckless if you want." I'm not sure what that meant, but if it was an offer to clean the cabin, we really didn't want the cleaners we had just complained about in the cabin while we were there. He also stated that the shower curtains were usually washed (I really doubt they had been washed in months), but since it was a same day turnover, they probably didn't have time. Our cleaning fee was not refunded and he did not even apologize for the condition of the cabin.

About the host

Hosted by Mark Brandenburg or Chris Manke

Host profile image
Mark and Chris have been lifelong friends. Both are married with 3 children and live modest lives. This cabin allows them to stay close and provides their families with lifelong memories, just like it will for you.

Why they chose this property

When Mark discovered Gatlinburg on a business trip, he told Chris about the area and how much there was to do. So, they drove down to find the perfect lot to build their vacation home. Knowing they couldn't do this without their better halves, they had their wives join them for the second half of their stay to take in the sites.

They were particular in the lot they were looking to purchase. They wanted a spectacular view, but didn't want to be part of a cleared mountain top with cabins on top of other cabins. It needed to have some privacy, but still be convenient to the attractions in the area. Too far away from the Smoky Mountains meant you'd have to drive forever just to get anywhere worth going. Too close in town meant you'd be listening to traffic and city noise instead of to the nature you came there to appreciate.

So, they finally found a site to build that met all of their needs. It has one of the best views in the area (the pictures don't really capture how impressive it is) and is on a dead end road with only 2 other cabins. However, other cabins are sprinkled in the trees below giving our guests the majestic feeling of royalty overlooking their kingdom.

Mark and Chris designed the cabin to provide as big of a cabin as the lot could hold and to maximize the views and the spaces inside. The bedrooms are spacious enough for you to spread out for your extended stay. We want our guests to make this their vacation cabin for their stay.

The kitchen and main level living area were designed to enjoy the view, provide a great place to entertain, yet cozy enough to relax and enjoy the ambiance of the environment.

The all wood spiral staircase was used to maximize the other spaces of the cabin and add warmth to the decor.

The game room and theater room are adjacent and open to allow everyone to enjoy each other and the entire space they share.

The upper loft is a great place to be away and still present all at the same time.

Enjoy.

What makes this property unique

There are very few vacation properties that provide million-dollar views, solitude, modern conveniences, and easy 10-15 minute access to all area attractions.

The drive up to the cabin just long enough to give you the feeling you are really in the mountains (not just in a cabin), but short enough you are back in town in less than 10 minutes. It's very convenient whether you want to go into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park or spend the day at Dollywood or even at the outlet stores in Pigeon Forge. You're never far from the cabin, so you can maximize your vacation time doing the things you came to the area to enjoy.
