About Starr Shine

Why Starr Shine chose Tahoe Pines
Original owners of property since 1945, Ell and Marcia Hagen! Ell built the original summer cabin out of scrap lumber in 1946. The cabin was enjoyed in the summers from 1947 to 2011 when it was torn down. A new cabin was created by their children Ed Hagen and his sister and built by cousin Denny Cameron, finished in May 2014.
What makes this House unique
Located on the WEST shore the BEST shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The cabin is a 5 minute walk to the lake and a magnificent stroll to the Tahoe National Forest from the cabin. Also, a minute away from the bike trail that goes from the cabin to Tahoe City/River Ranch in one direction and in the other direction to Sugar Pine Point.

Great place! Very clean an relaxing.
Thank you for allowing us to use your home. My mom, wife and granddaughter loved it. It was was clean and well kept up. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked with cooking supplies. Bedrooms and bathroom spot on. The only small challenge was locking the front door. Over all we would enjoy renting it again. Thanks.
Nice property, wound def stay here again.
Great place to stay. Clean and well-appointed, and located in a nice quiet spot not to far away from lots of great skiing & shopping.
Perfect cabin for a skiing trip
Large modern and conveniently located. The cabin is very well stocked and has everything we needed for our first family ski trip to Lake Tahoe.
Comfortable cabin in excellent location
Clean, modern cabin in excellent location. The early season snow made for excellent skiing conditions at the nearby Homewood Resort. The kitchen was roomy and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the board games at night. Beds were comfortable and the 4 kids had plenty of room in the third bedroom.
The cabin is located a 5 minute walk to the Lake with Tahoe Pines Beach and Pier HOA.
