Photos and Description of the Fayetteville vacation apartment rental

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Lots of Style

Fayetteville is known as one of America's Coolest Small Towns, and Lafayette Flats is the coolest place to stay in Fayetteville!

Lafayette Flats is located on the upper two floors of a historic 100 year old cut stone building originally built to be a bank. The interior of the building has been renovated with new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems but retains much of the original configuration and architectural details throughout.

This 500 square foot flat has one bedroom with a queen size mattress, a convertible couch, a large luxurious bathroom and a fully equipped apartment size kitchen. Cable TV (42' HD LED in living space), wireless internet and all linens and towels are provided.

Corten's decor is contemporary and comfortable. Guests will be treated to a wide variety of local original art, both in the private living space and the common hallways and stairwells. Guests are also invited to learn about the local area by exploring Lafayette Flats' library of books about West Virginia or those written by authors from West Virginia.

Located on the main street of Fayetteville's historic district, Lafayette Flats is an easy stroll from locally owned and operated restaurants and shops. Hikers, bikers, climbers and whitewater enthusiasts are minutes away from their activities as well.

Located on the second floor of a historic building, Corten is only accessible by stairs. This flat is designed for couples but can accommodate the addition of one child.

It is one of our goals to introduce Lafayette Flats visitors to a new way to think about West Virginia. We want to surprise our guests with the real West Virginia and nothing will make us happier than if they walk away with an impression that is different from the prejudices they might have held when they arrived. We have tried to do this through the design, art and literature of each flat. We think that Fayetteville itself helps to illustrate this new narrative. Here is a place that through the years has attracted the attention of many people with its amazing beauty and rich supply of natural resources. But instead of repeating our state's history, where those resources are scooped up and taken away on a train, the New River Gorge has been able to remain beautifully intact and now welcomes people to come here to enjoy it.
