Lovely stay at the farm
Bittersweet Guest house is a beautifully renovated old farmhouse. It is spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, and looks even better than the pictures! The beds are so very comfortable and the house has everything you need. The host has done a wonderful job on this renovation and is gracious and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Bittersweet.

Perfect escape from city life
The house is nestled into farm land, so peaceful and just stunning in the morning while the fog just sets down on the fields. The hosts are great! They made sure we had coffee and all essentials fom flour to olice oil. Cook ware was amazing and we had no issues cooking anything we wanted. Bathrooms were fully stocked making it easy since we forget our shampoo we didnt have to stress about anything. There is an AC unit in every room making it so nice and personal to everyone. The stairs are a bit steep but thats the usual for older houses in this area just keep in mind if stairs are hard for you all the rooms and the shower are located up stairs. We definiatly enjoyed our stay.

The Bittersweet Guest House is nestled in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and is the boyhood home of the owner.
This 12-acre farm has been in the family for over 60 years and the land is still being farmed today. After inheriting this property over 4 years ago, the owner and his wife have extensively remodeled and lovingly refurbished this guesthouse. As guests turn into the country lane, they will be greeted by a peaceful retreat in all seasons for folks seeking a quiet refuge from busy city life. Relaxation begins the moment a guest steps into the home. The day’s missed deadlines and snarled traffic become distant memories while sitting on the front porch having a relaxing beverage. The owner’s continual dedication to detail has fostered an environment that is comfortable and cozy.
The Bittersweet Guest House is just minutes away from quaint villages, cycling events, professional baseball parks, wildlife sanctuaries, farmers markets, antique markets and the nearby cities of Allentown and Reading.
