The island consists of two parts---the Dutch side and the French side, identified by border markers but requiring no passport for passage. Conveniently located on the Dutch side near the French border within the pristine, affluent quarters consisting of the Dawn Beach/Oyster Bay area, Condo SeaStar 24 provides the safety and security guests seek while traveling to the islands with gated parking outside and private walkway access to Dawn Beach (no hikes, drives or streets to cross to get to the beach!). Electrical current is American, so there is no need to borrow an electrical-current converter for your personal electric shaver or hairsetting appliances.

The condo sleeps four with a king-sized plush Euro pillow-top bed in the master bedroom, an en suite full bath and a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area, with a half bath conveniently located right off the living area. Private, in-condo washer and dryer are provided for guest use. The exterior three-sided wrap-around gallery (balcony) has a teak bistro table, two chairs and a small gas-grill. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen has everything you need for that perfect meal. The condo has central air (2014-installed Daiken SEER 24.5 high efficiency inverter system) to ensure your comfort in EVERY room.

English is the predominant language on the Dutch side, and many ex-pat Americans call St. Maarten home. Dutch Gilders (NAF) is as readily accepted as is American currency and exchange is readily translated at point-of-purchase at shops. restaurants and grocers.

Currency on the French side is predominantly Euros, but many shops accept American dollars at the same rate as Euros while others will facilitate a conversion and, sometimes an upcharge (depending upon market value).

There are many wonderful eateries on both the Dutch and French sides of the island that your hosts and other guests have enjoyed. Menu samples are arranged in a notebook reference guide located in the Condo or you can ask the concierges, Diane or Diana, for other recommendations. The universal favorites consistently remain #1-rated BIG FISH, right on site, Canoa Restaurant, Mr. Busby's on the beach or Mama's Pizza or Captain Oliver's is just a short scenic walk or drive over the border across the harbor. Experience the local island flavors at Fatboy Jimmy's BBQ (across from GEBE Electric in Philipsburg, right in the public parking lot), and other local fare including all-you-can-eat ribs at Mark's Place in Phillipsburg, or delightful breakfast fare at La Sucrere, or try the Taste Factory in Simpson Bay or at Sarafina's in Marigot (Mar-e-go) where merely viewing the extensive showcase of fare is certain to pack on the pounds. Private gas grill is provided for your EXCLUSIVE use during your stay. Bar service is available on many of the beaches. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available on most of the 37 beaches on the island for a daily-use fee. Your hosts provide a beach tote, two chairs, noodle floats and an SPF 70 umbrella plus a cooler and reusable ice packs for your use. (Dawn Beach provides beach chaises for guests of resort; umbrellas are extra.) Parking along the beaches is generally free, and some beaches offer limited, day-guest fee-based parking. Housekeeping services are INCLUDED in condo rental fee. There is NO additional fee for cleaning at the conclusion of your stay! If you wish, a rental car can be reserved for your use for pick up on the day of your arrival. Guests choosing this service are required to return the car to the rental agency the day of their departure. Ask the property manager or concierges Diane or Diana about specific requests when you confirm your condo reservations (deposit and licensing information required).
