Centrally located on Comox Rd., considered the ‘Dyke’ road by locals… and connecting Courtenay to Comox, the Waterfront Guesthouse offers a spectacular 280 degree view of the Comox Valley Estuary and the Beaufort Mountains; featuring ‘Queneesh’ the native name given to the valley’s famous Comox Glacier.

… watch in awe as the tides change from a full water landscape… where seals frolic and families of ducklings travel and fish the shores, to a ‘land before time’ where sometimes hundreds of seagulls rest and sun on the mud flats. Eagles, herons and numerous other birds of curiosity make this area a daily stopover…as the Bird Sanctuary is located within walking distance, a few minutes west, toward Courtenay.

… and it’s a kayaker’s paradise…put in right at your doorstep. Explore the Comox Bay, make the trip to Tree Island…or just take a relaxing float up the river. When the tide is up you can travel up through Lewis Park, a local swim hole. Just go a little further and you might spot some eagles patrolling the river for salmon or just sitting in the trees there. On your way back, dock at the Air Park; have an ice cream or a bite to eat at the Park Café. Or you might want to stretch your legs and take in the magnificent views from the walkway; a 1.8 km walk around the Courtenay Airpark. Try an evening walk sometime….you’ll be amazed at the sunsets...

The Waterfront Guest House is the penthouse level of a two level property. Explore an array of color on the ground floor, where you'll find Brenda and her newly ronovated Stained Glass workshop and gallery 'Glass Expressions'. Check out the 'Waterfronts'views from the upper outdoor porch or inside from the sitting and dining areas where you'll find wall to wall windows.

Enjoy a Logfire, (wood supplied), read a book, or play some family board games in a comfortable, easy going atmosphere. The living room has a 36 inch TV, a DVD player with some popular movie selections as well as a cd player. The comfy beds are both queen-size and well appointed. The kitchen has all the pots and utensils available for West Coast cooking, as well as a barbecue on the deck for an outdoor experience. Little extras like spices and condiments and various cooking items are supplied for your convenience and enjoyment.
