Very nice apartment in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely apartment a mile or so east of Times Square and less than a mile from Central Park. It is about three blocks away from the subway, and from there you can get anywhere in the city. We stayed here with seven people in total, my wife and myself, our three teen + children and two of their friends. This was our home base while we spent four days in NY exploring the city. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby, and we were able to stock up on groceries and have a meal before going out for the day. The person who met us for check-in was friendly and accommodated our changing arrival time without issue.

The shower in the main bathroom is amazing! Perfect to help you wind down and relax after a long day of taking in the sites. I would love to stay here if/when we visit NY again. Overall wonderful, comfortable accommodations and a full kitchen, which meant cost savings of not having to eat out for every meal.

Location, location, location.

  • 5 of 5

We brought two of our teen-aged granddaughters to NYC for five days in June. The apartment was perfect for us - we liked having a kitchen for breakfast and snacks and the little living room area was great. It was VERY hot during our stay, but the apartment was cool and comfortable. The neighborhood is convenient (easy walking distance to Central Park, theaters, restaurants, etc.) quiet and safe. Communication with the management company was prompt and efficient. The place could use a little detail work - replacing light bulbs, tightening the seats on the toilets, clearing the bathroom sink drain - but all in all, it was a very nice place to stay.

NOT what it seems

  • 1 of 5

We go to New York often as our daughter lives there. This time I thought instead of a hotel, we might try a Homeaway, as we often use that site and VRBO and always like the places we stay. Last week we checked into this apartment. It was a high price per night once they added cleaning fees and taxes. We checked out of the apartment after one night. It started that the bathrooms are VERY confining and VERY hot. By confining I mean to say that one of the bathrooms the length of the toilet. Like if you are over 4' 10" your knees touch the door when you sit down on the toilet. Literally. You can't move. The hot lights are shining down on you as well. The second bathroom is only slightly better, but still, instead of using LED bulbs, they use these disco-style HOT round bulbs that fry you while you are in the enclosed space. Let's go to the bedrooms. In two, neither have enough room for even a nightable. The sheets are thin. They don't smell right. The pillows are old, thin, and gross. Third you have to search for an outlet that works and that isn't from 1942. I wrote to the owner and to the manager telling them we moved out, and asking if they are able to refund any of our money we would appreciate it. I am not surprised they did not even so much as respond to my email. I'm not sorry we left. We moved to The London, where we had a suite and where the price was even less. In my humble opinion, if you are going to charge the price you do a night, the very least you can do is take enough pride and good business to invest in some comfortable new pillows and new sheets, a few LED's in the bathrooms and at least you cared enough to make a half effort to make sure your guests are comfortable. This place gives homeaway a bad image. I only gave it one star because I can't see how to give it zero stars

Great place for a group of friends or family

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend in Manhattan. The location is extremely convenient if you are looking to explore the major tourist attractions. As with most New York City accommodations, most of the space was cozy (two of the bedrooms, the kitchen, bathrooms and living space). The master bedroom was actually surprisingly spacious. We did not spend a ton of time in the apartment, so it suited our needs perfectly, and we definitely did not feel cramped in any way with six adults.

Staff were very helpful with check-in and extremely responsive to e-mail. We were able to check in during the day, but do note, that you will be charged extra if you are checking in later in the evening. Check out was a breeze and you can have your luggage held if you are leaving later in the day (after check out). We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend and rebook if we return to NYC with a large party again!

Girls Weekend Out

  • 4 of 5

My daughters and grand daughters spent the weekend here. The property was clean and well maintained the property owner was easy to work with and accommodating. We had nine of us in the apartment, so it was a little tight. It would be perfect for six people. We knew that going in though. We would stay there again.

Great little apartment

  • 5 of 5

Family of 6 stayed in this apartment comfortably. It had everything we hoped for. This was our first time to New York so we were only in the apartment to sleep. Handy location, easy access to subway for tourist attractions and easy walking access too.

Owners were quick to respond to any questions I had before we arrived.

Would definitely recommend!

Location

Midtown Manhattan, or simply Midtown, is a geographic area of Manhattan, New York City. It is home to some of the city's most iconic buildings, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the United Nations Headquarters. It contains world-famous commercial zones such as Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and Times Square.

Midtown Manhattan is the largest central business district in the United States[1] and ranks among the most intensely used pieces of real estate in the world. The majority of New York City's skyscrapers, including its tallest hotels and apartment towers, lie within Midtown. The area hosts commuters and residents working in its offices, hotels, and retail establishments; many tourists, visiting residents, and students populate the district. Some areas, such as Times Square and Fifth Avenue, have large clusters of retail stores. Sixth Avenue in Midtown holds the headquarters of three of the four major television networks. It is a growing center of finance, second in importance within the United States only to Downtown Manhattan's Financial District. Times Square is the center of Broadway theatre.
