Beautiful setting and well maintained home. It is well supplied and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This is our third time staying here, and it gets better every time. There is a new covered deck that truly enhances the ability to enjoy the outdoors without getting wet. We feel that if you are to enjoy Hana to it’s fullest you need to spend a few days at least to take it all in. Staying here is truly the highlight of visiting Hana though!

Nicely appointed home in a superb location

  • 4 of 5

Top class amenities. WiFi and new smart TV work flawlessly. Clean and comfortable. Ants in the kitchen were a nuisance but not much more than that. Views front the back deck are amazing. The weather was pretty dismal but we had fun nonetheless. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the crowds and exploring the east side of Maui.

A Bit of Heaven in Hana

  • 5 of 5

We walked through the door of the Hana Beach Cottage and both of us said, "Wow!" Even though I had seen photos on the VRBO site and read the description, the "cottage" was even nicer than I had imagined. With the roomy, open layout of the cottage you can see through the living room, dining room and kitchen right to the ocean from the front door. The house is full of light. The furniture and decor is classy and comfortable.

The backyard drops down to a rocky seashore and is lined with palm trees. We loved sitting on the deck, looking at the gorgeous blues of the ocean, listening to the waves and feeling the breeze. Some days, it was hard to leave to cottage to go explore! The kitchen is roomy and well-equiped with a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven and dishwasher. The host thoughtfully provides all the needed amenities- dish soap, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, bath towels, blow dryer, large, thick beach towels and an assortment of beach items to borrow.

There's a beach a short walk away, but be sure to check out the several, nearby, more beautiful beaches with trees, lava rocks, black sand, red sand, tan sand. We'd love to come back. Rebecca was always quick to reply to any questions I had.

Relaxing Stay

  • 4 of 5

The cottage in Hana was a perfect way to end our trip to Maui. The cottage is beautifully decorated, we really felt like we were home. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai

and watching the beautiful ocean view. We had a minor housekeeping issue, the owner was called and it was resolved very quickly. Will definitely return the next time we go to Hana.

Relaxing and Comfortable with a View

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (2 parents, early 50s, 2 daughters 8 and 9 years old) absolutely loved this rental. From my initial inquiry, Rebecca was wonderful. She was so patient with my many questions trying to make reservations for my own family at this home and some friends at one of her other properties near by. She was super helpful. We originally reserved two nights and loved the house, location and view so much we extended at the last minute for an extra night. Rebecca was very accommodating.

Directions and arrival information was straightforward and easy. The property is conveniently located, minutes from food options, stores, beaches and cultural sights.

The house has been nicely updated while maintaining the charm of its original style. It is nicely decorated and comfortable. The house has two bedrooms with comfortable beds. We all slept well with the sounds of the ocean outside. The bathroom and kitchen are both updated. There is a pocket door that separates a small hall, the bathroom and the bedrooms. This was very convenient at night after the kids were in bed providing a sound buffer from the dining area and living room.

The property is large and attractively landscaped. There is a large grassy yard that the kids enjoyed running around in (both during the rain and during the sunny times). There are two paths that access the ocean front which is large lava rocks/formations. We stayed clear of the unpredictable surf. Our visit coincided with a rain storm that caused a mudslide on the Road to Hana which occurred the day after our arrival. The surf was high and it rained a lot for most of the first two days. Due to the weather we spent a lot of time in the house and it was really comfortable, convenient and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the large covered lanai with stunning views both during the rain and after with sunny skies. In the evening we used the battery operated candles on the lanai as we listened to the waves crashing and were dazzled by the night time views.

We spent two weeks on Maui. The highlight by far was the 3 nights we spent in Hana hanging out in this house. It felt like home.

I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Lovely cottage right on Hana Bay

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location backing up to Hana Bay, walking distance to the store, the bay park, Red Sands Beach, the hotel's restaurant...you know, all 6 or 7 things that exist in Hana town itself. Quiet neighborhood, felt very safe. Cottage is well equipped with everything we needed. The view off the back deck is perfect.

Location

Car: recommended

From Hana Beach Cottage it is just a short walk down to Hana Bay, which is a black sand beach where you can swim. Tutu's is located down at Hana Bay and serves things such as; hamburgers, ice cream, etc. Hana Bay is also where the local fisherman launch their boats.
