The area offers stunning views of the Bitterroot Valley and outdoor activities from fishing to camping and hiking. Just miles away from Missoula.
Rented this beautiful place for extended family over my graduation weekend. Nice fenced yard for my dog and a few steps from the river! Very relaxing and comfortable place to be. Quick trip into missoula if needed. Very clean, great kitchen, will be sure to book again for my next trip to missoula!
The house was great for our family to get together for Christmas and New Years. We will be back. It is right down the street from our daughters house.
This is the 3rd time we've stayed at the Lolo house and will stay again when in the area. Very comfortable home, tucked into a private neighborhood that offers convenience and relaxation. Well stocked kitchen, ample supplies and always clean. Working with Tara to reserve has been a pleasure - quick response and helpful. Definitely recommend the place.
My 2 sisters and our husbands came to Lolo to take care of some family business. This was a great place for the 6 of us. It gave us room to gather together but enough space to have privacy when we needed it.
Tara was easy to deal with and responded to our questions and needs.
Would definitely stay again!
The property itself was nice, but the experience with the owner was (and looks like it will continue to be) terrible. First, some background on us: We are 5 guys in our 50's who went to Montana to fish. It was really hot out so we were leaving the cabin by 5:30AM and going to bed by 11:00PM. In other words, we're not the kind of people who have parties or wreck things.
Upon arriving at the cabin there were several beer cans and other things on the porch. The next day the neighbor, who was upset that his retirement home was right next to a VRBO, came by to berate us about having to clean up all the beer cans we left around the property. We said we had just arrived and so it must have been the previous renters. Upon taking the trash out to the garage, we discovered that there was a pile of trash bags in the garage (40 or more bags). No problem... I let the owner know and then we hauled it to the end of the street on trash day. Then when returning we picked up the trash that had spilled out of the bags when the collectors picked up the trash. On day 3 we discovered that a pile of wet towels were left in the washer. No problem... we washed them several times to get the mildew out. Then the grill was filthy. No problem.. it took us 30 minutes of cleaning just so it wouldn't start a grease fire upon lighting the grill. In front of the dishwasher and sink, the hardwood floors were cupped/warped from where a leak had clearly taken place. I mention these things only to let you know that the place had not been well looked after. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and checked out on the 22nd of July. Now, on August 3rd, I receive an email from the owner mentioning all kinds of damage that was allegedly done to the unit during our stay. I checked with each person and they all agreed that none of the items mentioned occurred while we were there. Now the owner is saying she is sending me an invoice... for a NEW REFRIGERATOR among other things! Why did it take the cleaners 11 days to discover all of this damage? In any case, I will dispute the invoice AND go to court if need be, but let this be a warning to other renters that this is a very shady outfit. I've rented through VRBO and other sites 5 or 6 times in both Canada and the US and never had an issue like this. We left that place in better condition than when we arrived. I'm literally shocked that I find myself in this position where I'm being threatened with an invoice for damage.
We found the home very well suited to our needs.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at your home!!! It was clean, homey, quiet and well outfitted for a large family such as mine. A nice gentle walk down to the river was one of the hi-lights. Plus it was just a short drive into Missoula. I would not have changed a thing!! Tara was so helpful in booking the cabin and a pleasure to work with.
Definitely deserving of a five star rating!!!!
