Great location and charm in this 2 or 3 bedroom classic urban cottage

This newly renovated 1910 century home is located just minutes from the heart of downtown in one of the most charming and quiet areas of Calgary. Walk, ride or train to any of Calgary's attractions easily from this centrally located cottage. This house has two units.The upper unit has two well appointed luxurious bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 4 in queen beds. The bathroom is bright and clean. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and fridge with ice maker for those happy hour drinks on the porch while watching the local commuters ride or walk home from work. Everything is new in this lovely home. The front courtyard is fairly private with a great porch with BBQ for entertaining or relaxing. Groceries, liquor, and baking are available from either local/organic shops or large chains only a block away. The bright living/dining area has large SMART TV, stereo, bar and dining for 6-8 people. There is a lower one bedroom suite (see property #562585) and a shared laundry room with state of the art laundry facilities.

Awesome Cottage, Awesome Location, Awesome Hosts

This quaint little ‘cottage’ made our trip to Calgary an easy stay. From the nicely appointed living/dining area to the well-equipped kitchen, it had all that one would need for a holiday. The kitchen has a coffee pot, toaster, microwave, electric stove and dishwasher. There are enough pots/pans, dishes, utensils for ‘simple’ meals to be prepared.

The two bedrooms are small, but ample enough space with large closets and dressers for storage. The queen beds are very comfortable and have linens provided. The bathroom has storage in the vanity and in the mirrored cabinet. It’s just what we needed for a refreshing shower after a day exploring the sights and areas.

This cottage is centrally located for the CTrain which will take you pretty much anywhere in the city. Prince’s Island, Memorial Drive, grocery shopping, and good restaurants are all within walking distance.

All in all, this unit is a gem and we’re glad we found it!! The owners are super people. They were ready to help in any way if needed. Thanks Cathy & Tim. YAHOO!!

Nicely renovated early 20th century bungalow

The cottage is comfortable and suited all our needs. It has a great location close to the river trails, downtown, and c-train. It is well set-up with utensils, dishes, and towels, etc. Comfortable beds.

Just lovely

We were attending the Stampede and son and grandson went fly fishing. This property was located near the train and a lovely shopping area. The property itself was very comfortable and nicely appointed with anything you could possibly need. The owners were very approachable and helpful. Would stay here again if I return to Calgary. We had dinner at the Cleaver and it was good food and fun experience, the Blush coffeeshop near the property was great again wonderful helpful staff. I visited the Calgary farmers market after dropping family off to go fishing and was absolutely blown away. They had an amazing selection of meats, cheeses, bakery items, etc. This is the second time I have used VRBO and again I was very pleased. Only way to go and yes would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent Stay

We stayed here during the Stampede. The home has great character and a nice front porch which we sat out on a lot. It is only a few train stops to downtown, but also has great shops and restaurants only a couple blocks away. We highly recommend it.

Homeowners are long time Calgarians and proud Sunnyside residents who live next door to this rental property. We waited 20 years to purchase this home and turn it into the charming rental cottage we knew it could be. The transformation of this home has been very rewarding and we look forward to sharing this lovely home and our neighborhood with people from all over the world. We love to travel as well and have tried to make this a place we would love to rent when visiting another city. We hope you love it as much as we do.
