Secluded 2-bedroom ground level private home at the entrance to Longbeach Village with open floor plan including living room, dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Screened in lanai facing canal, gardens and active wildlife. One king bedded room and one queen bedded room with abundant closet space. Two renovated baths, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Wireless internet and cable television. The gorgeous white sandy beach across the street is rarely crowded and great for walking, swimming, relaxing and watching spectacular sunsets. This is a great beach cottage and includes a dock for small to medium size boats.

Perfect location
Agree with many of the other renters , place is in a perfect location being within walking distance of almost everything you need, restaurants ,beach being the main attractions. Beach is easy 5min walk ,dock in back is great added attraction.as you can watch manatees ,fish and more. House is big and spacious, and made the stay very comfortable . Everything one needs is there. Would stay again without hesitation.

Wonderful Staycation!
Great experience all the way around. Perfect location on the water and so close to the beach! Very comfortable home with all of the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Our hosts made us feel like family and are close enough to handle anything we needed. We will definitely be back.

My husband, myself and our 2 doggies stayed for 2 months, March-April and had a wonderful time!! Location is everything, and this was absolutely fantastic!! Just across the street from the beach, what more could you ask for!! We loved it!! We also spent every morning (and sometimes evenings) out on the dock right behind the house watching “our” manatees that played there every day. It was, by far, the highlight for us, being able to sit with them every day. I even named them!! We were comfortable in the house, and would, without a doubt, return to this wonderful place. We met the owners, and they were fantastic, as well!!

A little slice of Heaven
My husband and our 2 labs stayed at this adorable beach cottage for 1 month. We loved every minute of it. The grounds are very tropical and on a pretty canal. Large 2 bd 2 ba with a pretty screened in lanai where we spent alot of time. Beds comfy, ac excellent and overall very comfortable. Right across from the most beautiful beach and sunsets. 3 restaurants within walking distance. Whitneys across street. Marvista and the Shore a 5 minute walk down to the intercoastal. There are also 2 piers and alittle Beach to watch dolphins and the sun rise on the intercoastal. We walked everywhere. Only publix we drove and Harry's restaurant. So sad to leave this lovely little hideaway. Don't miss it!!

Longboat Key Cottage on the canal
It was a great location on the canal, which gave us full access to the main waterway in our canoe. Lots of mangroves and wildlife in the area, and we even had three manatees visit us on the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We purchased this property and furnished it to live in it ourselves. Then we found another place a mile away so we are keeping this and renting it. It is too charming for us to give up.

Why they chose this property

It is a quiet private place where you see all sorts of birds and rarely a person. It is on the ground -- no stairs, and feels like a real Florida home.
