WELCOME to your own +/-4000 square foot cabin retreat located in the exclusive Duck Creek Pines community of Duck Creek Village, Utah. This fabulous cabin on 3+ private acres is nestled in the Dixie National Forest surrounded endless natural beauty where you can enjoy outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowboarding and world-class snowmobiling and ATV riding.

Just bring your personal items, we provide the rest. The cabin has 5 fully furnished bedrooms with all bedding, bath towels, and supplies. There is a fully equipped kitchen and extensive amenities for your entertainment including a game room, multiple large LCD flat screen TVs, Satellite TV, High Speed Internet and WiFi connectivity.

The 4,000 square feet of living space is spread across three floors.

Main Floor. The main living space is spacious, open, dramatic and comfortable. There is a fully stocked and equipped eat-in kitchen with stainless appliances and granite counters ready for you to whip up your favorite mountain comfort foods. The living room is exquisitely appointed in mountain cabin theme decor including natural woods, soaring 25 foot ceilings, HUGE log beams, stone finished fireplace comfy couches and a large flat screen TV with satellite for relaxing. Finally there is the huge master suite with its own fireplace, private deck and jacuzzi tub.

Floor 3 has two bedrooms, one with one queen bed and a twin over twin bunk and the other with two twin beds and a twin over full bunk. There is a bathroom and a large loft where additional sleeping accommodations can be set up.

Floor 1 (finished basement) has two more bedrooms, bathroom, laundry facilities and a large game room. Kids (old and young) will enjoy the game room complete with XBOX (misc games included), flat screen TV, Satellite/Dish Network, Foosball table, air hockey, poker table & chairs.

WINTER ACTIVITIES

Ski & Snowboard - The property is 45 minutes door-to-door to the Brian Head ski resort. Enjoy great runs, short lift lines and affordable skiing - nothing like the crowds you will find on California or Salt Lake City area slopes.

Snowmobile - Duck Creek is known for some of the WORLD'S BEST snowmobiling! You can ride your snow machine right out the back of the property and in minutes you will be into miles and miles of groomed Dixie National Forest trails and off trail powder if you want.

Sledding - Great sledding abounds! Pick from dozens of locations minutes away. You can even sled down the streets , just be careful.

Fire Pit & Horseshoe pit located in the rear of property. Weather permitting.

Hi all! Charlie and I both spent most of our lives in California before moving to the Las Vegas area in the mid 2000's which is where we currently live with our two children. Thank you for considering sharing our family cabin!

Why Charlie & Stacy Sundling chose Duck Creek Village

Why this property? Because we love it that's why! When we relocated to the Vegas area we quickly found out it gets REALLY hot in the summer months, so we started looking around for a "retreat" location that was cooler and quieter than that big city so we could get away from it all from time to time. That's when we discovered, and fell in love with, Duck Creek Village!

We actually rented this very cabin several times with family and friends and loved it. It happened to come on the market so we took the leap and went for it! This awesome cabin has been a part of our family ever since. Since we are only able to use it for a couple of weeks per year (pesky work get's in the way!) we decided to continue renting it out during certain months of the year so visitors can enjoy it the way we did.

What makes this cabin unique

If you stay in this cabin you will see why we fell in love with it. The huge logs, soaring ceilings, fireplace in the bedroom and perfect location say it all!

They've added horseshoe pits and a nice hammock. The fire pit is a great gathering place for our large family for marshmallow roasting and lots of laughs. This property never disappoints! The only upgrade needed is new air hockey pucks and paddles...😀!

Somehow they keep getting broken so we went out and got a couple sets of super durable "professional" paddles and pucks, hopefully these will get the job done! Awesome and Beautiful

We really enjoyed our stay. Our family truly enjoyed the get away from the heat of the Las Vegas Valley. Our family will be looking at using VRBO to rent this location again every year if it is available. Thank you for the use of the clean and beautiful cabin home.

Nice....but needs work

The kitchen is nice and spacious for cooking, it is stocked with pots, pans, etc. to make most meals. The cabin has a lot of square footage, so you don't feel like you are on top of one another. The outside has an area to walk, with not too much traffic, it also has a fun area to play horseshoes and build a campfire to roast marshmallows and make s'mores.

There are some things that need to be fixed before I would recommend this cabin to others.

The first thing I noticed is the smell, it the worst in the basement, but it is throughout the house. After staying there for a few days, I think the smell is coming for the chipmunks that live in the house, you can hear them walking around and they even got into my son-in-laws backpack inside the house and ate the sunflower seeds. The best way to describe the smell is like cat urine, but in this case chipmunk urine. I found the spot where they are entering the home, it definitely needs to be repaired.

If you rent the cabin and you have people that will be in the upstairs bedrooms, it is totally miserable for the people that are in the master bedroom. You can hear every step a person above you takes, the floor on the second level creeks really loud and wakes you up from a sound sleep, if anyone gets up to use the bathroom etc.

The internet is spotty and did not work most of the time we were there. The cellular service was good though and we were able to use LTE on our phones.

There are many clocks throughout the house, but not one of them works. They all need new batteries.

There is an old TV (from the 80's) in the master bedroom that is not plugged in, and I'm sure it doesn't work. It needs to be removed and a smaller one put there that does work. There is no closet in the master bedroom to hang things up and the cabin does not have an iron, so you can get a few of the wrinkles out of your clothes.

We did not have enough garbage bags, ( only 1 bag in each garbage) so I had to go to True Value and purchase some, so we could haul our garbage out.

It was very cold a few evenings and we wanted to utilize the fireplace, but the propane tank was totally empty.

The cabin has a book of information, but it needs to be updated, there is a letter in the front of the book from 2015 regarding the septic system, that was being replaced that year.

The fishing at the lakes was good and being able to rent Razors and ride on trails was a great experience for those who participated riding them.

Thank you for taking the time to detail out these issues! The items you mentioned have been addressed (see below) and we are also making a number of great improvements to the property in the spring that I think you and your family would really enjoy. If you come stay with us again I would like to offer you a free night. > Basement smell. We learned that the guest two weeks before you brought up a dog and we believe it probably had an accident or two on the carpet in the game room. It has been steam cleaned and everything smells fresh again! > Chipmunks. Crafty little buggers did find their way in! We just had the entire cabin refinished on the exterior and the contractors also put mesh screening in all places where critters can get in. Let's see them get in now! > Spotty internet. We have been struggling with internet service reliability for about a year, and only recently they found that there were some "settings at the main switching center" that were impacting our reliability. These were changed and it seems to have helped reliability tremendously. It is not perfect yet but seems about 95% reliable. > Clocks. The cabin has way too many clocks! Not sure how we ended up with so many. In any case, we got rid of a few and put new batteries in all those remaining! > 80's TV in the master bedroom. Hang on now.. that is an original Panasonic big screen theater system! It was cutting edge in its day. Actually had been on our list for a while to get rid of but it takes three people to move it! You will be happy to know it has been replaced by a nice new flat screen. > No closet in master. There is actually a large walk-in closet in the master (its in the master bath) but we need it to store linens and such. So we put a nice wardrobe in the bedroom with plenty of hanging space and an iron for dressy occasions! > Garbage bags. We informed our cleaning folks to leave more for guests. > Information booklet. Updated. > Propane was out. You're 100% correct, and I apologize for that. The utility is supposed to keep it full and they didn't, but no excuse, we should have been double checking it. Thank you again. We would love for you and your family to come up in summer 2018 to see all of the cool improvements we're making to the property. New pictures should be posted in early May.

Big Place in great area

This place has lots of room and is located in a great area for ATV'ing.

The property has a circle driveway that makes it easy to access and move around.

The property needs some TLC , like the upstairs air conditioner did not work , but overall a great property.

We saw reviews that mentioned not enough toilet paper. The cleaning crew was two hours late and sure enough they tried to leave without leaving paper.

I could not agree with you more than adequate TP supply is very I-M-P-O-R-T-A-N-T! We have spoken with our cleaning folks about their schedule and the TP supply. I believe the situation has been corrected. > Upstairs AC unit. Yes, we discovered this as well. Turns out the compressor unit outside needs to be replaced because it was crushed by ice sliding off the roof last year. I'm sorry we didn't get this done for the 2017 season but it will all be new in 2018!

GREAT FAMILY FUN!!

Beautiful Cabin with a very spacious layout....inside and out. There were 9 of us (5 adults...and 4 kids) we didn't feel crammed at all. Along with all the sight seeing in and around Duck Creek Village.....it was nice to have a spacious yard around the cabin for the kids to play. Again, beautiful place....wonderful trip filled with many family memories....
