About the property

Great Bird watching, distant views of Barnaget Bay

Very private...this cabin works for all: a quick getaway, retreat weekend, family vacation or romance. Helenas Cabin is conveniently located by everything the shore has to offer and far away enough for peace and quiet. We have french doors leading out to distant views of the West End of Barnagat Bay, and the E.Forsyth Wildlife Preserve which has an osprey nests and many bird viewings. We even have an occasional turtle come visit and just this past summer we saw 2 deer walking across the estuary. This cabin also offers a beautiful stone fireplace for a nice cozy winter evening and the Location is great. .Walk to.... fishing/crabbing at Manotoloking Bridge Pier (about 1/2 mile , if that) Traders Cove Park which is a newly built state of the art park with an elaborate playground, a public boat/kayak launch and now a changing area. It's a 3 min walk to the famous Crab Shack (My favorite to get fresh clams and bring them home to put on the charcoal grill). Great for biking or a nice jog over the Manoloking Bridge to the beach...there's a great dog beach close by. The mantoloking Beach is about a 2 mile ride right over the Mantoloking Bridge. We do accommodate you with beach badges. It's about an 8 min car ride to Point Pleasant Jenkinsens Boardwalk,/Aquarium,/beach - rides, games, and Tiki Bar. Seaside is approx. 15 -20mins, where Jersey Shore Reality Show was filmed. Atlantic City 1 1/2 hour right off the Garden State Pkwy.

About Helena

My husband and I purchased our cabin in 2007 and this cabin is quite special to us. We spent a lot of time there and now as a family we get to enjoy both aspects of it. Relaxing and fun. I must say having a log cabin located in this part of NJ especially so close to beach and boardwalk is quite rare, we really found a gem. We love bird watching and are very animal friendly. I myself love sitting on the back porch or in front of the fireplace with a great mystery book and a glass of wine. My husband spends most of his time out on the back deck. We love having our family and friends come down for a BBQ , shuck oysters and get fresh clams to put on the grill. We want everyone to enjoy it as much as we do at a reasonable price.

Helena purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Helena chose Brick

I practically lived down the shore every summer. One day me and my husband were down the shore and we happen to be on Mantoloking Rd and saw a for sale sign. We decided to just drive by and to our surprise it was this beautiful log cabin tucked away. As soon as we saw this property we knew it was for us. The realtor told us to get a couple of sandwiches and just sit on the back deck to really get the feel of it and we did....haha. We fell in love with the view and the stone fireplace. We love the fact that we can go to the boardwalk for the rides and a quick bite and then come back to a nice relaxing quiet cabin. You would never know that you were at the Jersey Shore. For us it's a great place to go for a quick getaway after all the hustle and bustle during the week. Stress less- I know you will enjoy our cabin as much as we do! This is a great place to entertain family and friends. The cabin is private and conveniently located to everything. I usually tell people to come and check it out if you would like.

What makes this cabin unique

A RARE FIND at the jersey shore. This is an original Lincoln Log Cabin on pilings with a big stone fireplace to the ceiling. Plenty of bird/boat watching right outside the back. We have french doors leading out to the back deck. The fall has beautiful foliage and plenty of places to go. In the winter you may lounge by the stone fireplace or have ROMANTIC weekend. Plenty to do with the family. A great place to have a shower, family holidays, etc. So this is an all year round cabin and its wonderful.

Peaceful ....

  • 5 of 5

Our three days at Helena's cabin was spent visiting with childhood friends who live in the area, along with watching all the activity in the sanctuary. We had subs (my favorite) from Jersey Mike's and crab cakes from the Crab Shack which we cooked at home. It was a fun mini vacation.

Down the shore like never before 😎

  • 5 of 5

The property is amazing. Chilling on the back porch deck is a site that's cherished. I've been hitting the Jersey shore for over 50 years. Never have I spent time down there like this. Helena is a most righteous host that will make sure everything is just right. The experience left me with new hope for the shore. Just the right pace, the perfect cabin and with the beach minutes away. The only suggestion would be to have a queen size bed put in the second bedroom. Thanks Helena

Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

This cabin at the beach was the perfect break we needed. The location is ideal for going to Mantoloking beach and enjoying all the shore has to offer. It is located on a serene bird sanctuary where you can really relax. View to east is amazing and we enjoyed many Moon rises. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Cabin is what a true shore house should be comfortable. Thank you for providing a affordable break in such an expensive area!!!

Peaceful log cabin on the bay

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is nestled right on a bird sanctuary which overlooks Barneget Bay, very peaceful and quiet. However, short drive over the bridge to beaches, restaurants, etc.

Relaxing Stay

  • 5 of 5

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The view is lovely and the home is clean, quiet and close to attractions without all the congestion. We did not need air conditioning as it was early spring, the weather was cool and we just opened all the windows. We would absolutely recommend this home.

This is an all season cabin-Close to point pleasant boardwalk- rides, games, restaurants and plenty of places to eat with the kids! Deep sea fishing close by. Fishing/crabbing pier in brick - right by the Manoloking bridge(not even a half mile) point pleasant has many things to do, Jenkinsens Aquariam, antiquing , hiking and so much more. As much as this is great for families, it is also very romantic and private. Even if it's for a quick getaway/retreat for one. The fall is beautiful to go for a hike in the Forthsyth Reserve. The winter - quite cozy -sit by stone fireplace with a nice glass of wine/hot coco and good book.
