Our trip
The property was beautiful, we enjoyed it immensely. It was close to other great experiences . Our family joined us a couple of days and we made dinner and another grilled on the wonderful patio with the beautiful view of the mountains. We will be back. Such a great time.

I grew up in Rogersville and this was our families farm. My husband and I have the passion to save it and let others enjoy what we do.

Why they chose this property

This is my family farm. I was blessed to be the one to carry on to save the farm. My father bought the farm in the 1960s and in 1976 he found the cabin in a neighboring community, bought it, and he and one other man tore it down, piece by piece, numbered each one and put it back on his property. Each cut of wood has his touch and heart in it. I played on this farm as a child, picked strawberries to sell to friends, laid tobacco stakes for my brothers to stalk rows of tobacco, rode our horses, feed our cows, and made castles in the hay loft. Even though it is not a working farm today, we hope it brings back a simpler time in life. There is additional cabins on the property that my parents built together. They collected antiques and made a wonderful little piece of history on the back of the farm. It is now in disrepair, but we hope to be able to save some of it, but it is available to explore.
