Lovely House in the Historic Silver Hill Neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

Very cool vibe. The house size and location were perfect for my stay in Albuquerque. Very convenient to downtown, UNM activities, and really anywhere in NM via I-25 and I-40. The neighborhood was quiet and the backyard was adorable, with daffodils ready to bloom. The kitchen had decent utensils and the two beds were very comfortable. The down side was that the place needed a DEEP cleaning. I am not a clean freak by any stretch of the imagination, but woodwork and windows were dirty, the carpet in the bedroom had dog hair on it when I arrived, and the kitchen counters still had crumbs and other debris behind the appliances. I texted the property manager early in my stay, but got no response concerning the cleaning issue. So, I used the crappy vacuum to take care of the rug and cleaned the kitchen myself. So...5 stars for location and the actual house; 1.5 stars for cleanliness. And, 0 stars for the vacuum cleaner, which is essentially non-functioning unless you use the hose and hand brush.

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is centrally located to all fun things in Albuquerque, including the Balloon Festival. The house is clean, comfortable and very inviting to cook and grill. We appreciate the homeowner and her availability for questions. Great place!

Historic house

  • 3 of 5

My husband and I travel to Albuquerque several times a year to visit family. We usually stay in the Old Town area but love vintage houses and thought we would give this a try. It was convenient to the University and the Hospitals. It is in an older neighborhood with very cute vintage houses which are still being renovated. The house itself has nice touches. A lot of care was put into the renovation of the bathroom as the photos show. Upon arrival I noticed a stool in the bathroom and wondered why it was there. When I went to wash my face in the new vessel sink I found out......lovely but not really functional for me.

Having renovated many houses over the years we thought the house would have been better served by refinishing the floors.

I always like to mention that it is a good idea to equip any rental with good knives and a wooden cutting board. Many lack this.

The staff was very pleasant and responsive.

Charming, Eclectic and Private

  • 4 of 5

Wonderful 2 bedroom house with great colors and decorating -- unique style which we like. Well equipped kitchen with a great fenced in backyard which we were able to enjoy with our dog without worry (high adobe wall). Comfy bed and nice bathroom with great water pressure and warmth. Good counter space to put out our toiletries without crowding. Owner was VERY responsive to every communication and very informative upfront by remembering to tell us what lockbox code was and wireless code, etc. Convenient if you want to be near the university and/or the hospital.

Perfect for a family of 4

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed staying at this property for almost 2 months! I agree with others that it needs a deep cleaning, which we did a bit of during our stay, but Dream switched cleaning companies while we were there in response to our feedback. She and DJ, the property manager are extremely attentive and fixed any issues we had right away. The swamp cooler gave out during our first week there and she had it promptly repaired and then replaced (it was quite old). the house is comfortable and sophisticated, spacious, and in a nice historic neighborhood. We walked many places, even to a nearby park and to the Isotopes stadium. I would definitely stay here again!
