We grew up vacationing all along the Strand for years before finding this oceanfront condo unparalleled for relaxation and excitement. Located on secluded Shore Drive, 'A Place at the Beach IV' is located directly on the beach. It is a quiet 3 story building with a cozy village-like atmosphere featuring well manicured grounds and a fabulous pool area.

Perched on the top floor, our updated condo provides enhanced privacy and a wonderful view of the ocean and the Apache Pier. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or a grill master, there is a well equipped kitchen and a poolside cookout area to enjoy. Rest assured, our condo is well maintained and appointed with amenities to delight both adults and children alike. After all, we cherish our family vacations here too!

Can’t predict the weather
This unit was good, tasteful decor, master bed very comfortable, other bed noisy with any movement. Master bath very small, anyone bigger than size XL, might find it a tight squeeze. Some level of fitness required as third floor no elevator. Shopping, grocery, and restaurants all just a short drive away. Pool area clean and well maintained. A lovely vacation spot with direct access to the beach.

Best Vacation Ever!
My daughter and her little family joined me on this vacation. We stayed here at the Black Pearl and it was absolutely PERFECT for us! My son-in-law has never been outside of Ohio, so the look (and tears) on his face when he seen the condo and ocean were priceless! The unit was clean, tidy, and had a great balcony view of the ocean! Kathi was so easy to work with and answered all of my questions quickly. We hope to do this every year! Thank you Kathi for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

The 'Black Pearl' vacation condo is owned by the Auble and McKnight families. We grew up in South Carolina and Ohio and always summered on the Grand Strand. Our parents originally discovered that 'A Place at the Beach IV' is the best vacation spot on the Strand and bought this condo for use by family and guests.

Why they chose this property

A Place at the Beach IV is ideally situated on a secluded dead end street yet provides easy access to all the best the Myrtle Beach area has to offer. This condo faces the morning sun on the more quiet and relaxing side of the resort. The beach here is beautiful and it has Life Guards for safety during the summer season. There are lots of fun areas to discover nearby. A couple favorites are the quaint fresh shrimp and fruit stand a couple blocks away and a waterway inlet up the beach where kids catch crabs and other sea creatures.
