Maple Suite:

A Vancouver Suite is pleased to introduce the Maple Suite! This brand new, freshly renovated space, opened in spring of 2005, is a quaint 550 square foot abode ideal for traveling singles or couples looking to spend time together on our beautiful urban coast. The suite is south facing with exquisite fir floors, it has a full kitchen and small eating nook, and it also includes a work station complete with high speed internet.

The living area has seating area featuring a leather love seat with ottaman and twin bed that acts as a couch or bed and a flat panel TV with 5.1 surround sound stereo. The bedroom has Serta queen-size bed with featherbed and 100% cotton 290 count versallie bedding and a night stands. Maple has its own full-size bathroom with a tub and shower, and a pedestal sink highlighted by a large skylight. This way, guests can enjoy a great deal of natural light. This is a wonderful alternative to our two bedroom rental options- the perfect place for a quiet, intimate get-away.

Comfy home away from home

This is our second time staying here. We come for training and found the place like our home away from home. Theresa has been great to us :). Can comfortably fit two people if you are ok with sharing a bathroom

Great location in Vancouver

Loved to stay at the Kitsilano property. The location was great for walks, restaurants, transportation and attractions. The owner Theresa was quickly to respond to our questions and provided a nice clean accommodation. Nicely decorated, just like the pictures and a nice kitchen to cook. Definitely recommend it.

Home Away From Home

We have been staying at Theresa's Maple Suite on and off for over 2 years. We consider her place our second home and wouldn't stay anywhere else! Theresa is more than our landlady, she is a great friend. She has a wonderful sense of humor and is always available, flexible and helpful. The Maple Suite is adorable, beautifully designed and decorated. It is warm and cozy with a fully equipped kitchen and storage. The beds are comfortable and the suite is quiet. We love the south facing deck surrounded by flowers.

The suite is located in the best part of the city, within walking distance or a short bus ride to downtown, yet in a very safe residential area. It is like living in the best of both worlds! We can walk or bike to the beach, to Granville Island, to the movie theatre, to restaurants and shops, all just a few blocks away. Yet where we live is lined with charming houses each with their own unique front gardens. We are about 10 minutes by car from both the University of British Columbia and downtown, and there is on site parking in back which is fantastic. We love our little place, and miss it when we are not here!

Adequate Value for Money

The Maple Suite unit was adequate in size, but needs updating and maintenance. Teresa, the owner, was very friendly, but I had to keep running next door to ask her for things that should have been supplied, i.e., towels and instructions on TV, etc. The kitchen was clean, but some dishes and other supplies were missing. It was very hot and the window/sash in the bedroom would not stay open and had to be propped open with a block of wood. The front door bolt no longer fitted. Bathroom opening skylight no longer operable. Some of these things are minor, but irritating and only require small investment. There was no landline telephone - previous tenants took the connection? Teresa runs a daycare facility during the day and sometimes it can be noisy, but we were out most of the day, so it didn't bother us. The walls are very thin between units and we were kept awake until 11pm on our last night by the activities of the family behind us who had two small children. The location is very good and fairly close to eateries and grocery shopping and we really enjoyed the deck in the late afternoon. There is parking in the alley at the back of the house (in front of the Maple Suite, which is on the back side of the main house). For those who experience difficulty with stairs, there are about 10-11 steps up to the unit. We were able to use the commercial laundry down in the basement, which was great.

Owner's Response: We had provided enough towels for Valery stay. She needed more face towels as I provided. It was hot as mother nature.. heat wave those few days. We were always there to provide what Valery needs. Thanks for your stay!
