4 bedroom/3 Bath with Hot tub, Sauna, new mattresses, 1GB Wifi - closest to lift

At Timberline G3 in Sunrise Village, you truly 'have it all'. Sunrise is an ideal area for families, couples and groups who want to spend time on the snow while still offering easy access to the area's renowned nightlife on Killington access road.

Timberline G3 offers an unparalleled location—it's the closest unit to any lift anywhere in the entire resort—so you'll be able to come and go on the mountain, head back for lunch or a break, never worry about parking, hauling your ski gear, or dropping the kids off. You don't even need a lift ticket to ride on Sunrise, and it's a great place to teach your friends and family.

Our unit has recently been renovated and has 4 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 10 people across three levels (but there are beds for 12). It boasts two kitchens, hot tub, sauna and plenty of common space. Most beds were replaced December 2014.

After a day of skiing, riding, or any other of Killington's fine outdoor activities, relax in the unit's sauna or hot tub or head to the onsite health club. We're just steps from the recently renovated Falls Brook Common Health Spa. Its features and luxury amenities include an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, steam room and fitness center.

During the winter season comfortably relax and enjoy a bite to eat at the restaurant & lounge, located upstairs from the Clubhouse, surrounded in the beautiful mountain scenery. Don't ski? Sunrise Village also offers complementary activities such as ice skating on our pond, snowshoeing, & cross country skiing on groomed and ungroomed trails, located in Falls Brook Common.

About Joel Saferstein

I'm a new father, who recently relocated from New York City to Washington DC with my wife and year old son. We can't wait to take him skiing, but for now, the distance between DC and Vermont is too vast and he's too young to take. So I'm happily making our home away home available to you!

Joel Saferstein purchased this townhome in 1998

Why Joel Saferstein chose Killington

My brother and I were looking to find a house in Killington to be closer to my brother who lives in the complex. We were planning on purchasing a different unit, which fell through at the last minute. The next day, this unit became available at auction in mid-April… mud season. We couldn't go, so my brother bid on our behalf. It was a rainy, nasty day, and only one other bidder showed up, the owner of the adjacent unit. He thought maybe he could get a sweetheart deal and combine them, but he realized that the condo fees might be overwhelming. We went back and forth for a while, but he ultimately dropped out and we prevailed.

When we finally saw the unit, we were both thrilled and amazed. The previous owner decorated every room differently, and while they were nice, they weren't our taste. We removed the black wallpaper and turquoise carpet and made some improvements to make it our own.

We've grown to love the unit. We love sitting on the deck during the summer and fall. And we love the easy access to the mountain during the ski season. Shortly after we purchased the property, the Sunrise ski lift was repositioned so that it's just a few steps away from our front door. It was pure luck which has made ownership that much easier. The trails on the mountain don't require a ticket, and we've taught kids of all ages how to ski there.

We hope you like it as much as we do!

What makes this townhome unique

Our favorite parts of the home:

– the decks which offer amazing views of the Vermont mountains

– the finished basement—hot tub, 2nd kitchen, entertainment center, sauna (perfect after a long day of skiing, snowboarding or mountain biking)—which feels like another wing and gives some separation when you have a lot of guests.

– the entry foyer with storage and kitchen bar, which our friend Mark built

— the mosaic fireplace, which looks like it should probably be in a house in New Mexico.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you and we really had a lovely time at your place. It was the perfect escape from the city that we all needed -- and your place certainly contributed to its success

Nice space and great location. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Trail to lift right outside the door.

  • 5 of 5

The unit was clean and well stocked. It is a large unit and the eight of us did not feel crowded. Joel was great to work with. The trail to the lift is right at the top of the stairs. A true ski in ski out unit was very practical with the kids.

Exactly what I wanted for our family reunion.

  • 5 of 5

We had a few minor issues with our stay. I commend Mr. Saferstein for taking an active role in correcting these issues. Mr. Saferstein truly cares about his renters welfare and happiness. My twelve year old grandson wants to come back again this season. I highly recommend Timberline G-3 (ID#515501) and if still able to ski next year (I am 71 years young) will come back.

Incredible Ski Out Condo!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Joel's place with 10 friends for the weekend in February. The place was exactly as described/shown in the pictures. It truly is ski-in/ski-out and you are on the most private section of the mountain. This was perfect for us since we had some beginners with us. Making it much more enjoyable for everyone not being crammed with people! The house was spacious and the open floor plan made it easy for everyone to hang out together. Sleeping was easy as well as everyone had their own rooms/bathrooms/space. The place was stocked with everything you could think of and plenty of extra paper towels, trash bags, etc. for a group like ours. Joel was super responsive via email and answered all my questions quickly and he was a pleasure to work with. The whole group enjoyed our stay so much we cannot wait to book it again next year. I cannot say enough great things about the host and the place!!
