Ja... sie ist ruhig gelegen
Wir haben in diesem Haus zwei wunderbare ruhige Wochen erleben können. Der Name des Hauses ist perfekt gewählt und man kann hier voll abschalten. Der Pool und das Grundstück helfen dabei. Am Abend die Geckos und die Kröten zu beobachten waren für uns ein Highlight und immer lustig. Der Ausgangspunkt des Hauses war für uns ideal, konnten wir so gen Osten aber auch Westen reisen. Vielen Dank an alle, welche bei Fragen oder Problemen gleich zur Stelle waren, wie der Poolmann Alan, Manager Bärbel aber auch Anne aus der Ferne. Gerne wieder.

Expensive mistake
The house is in a good location and is safe for pets. There is a nice view towards the hills, a good ar conditioning and proper windows. Apart from the noisy cicadas there’s only quietness. And then... there are giant geckos having their evening walk all around the bedroom walls. This due to a lack of isolation in the ceiling. For a stay of 9 days we all had a small face towel and a small shower towel per person. Also there was no bedding and the foam mattresses are quite uncomfortable. The pillows are not only small but also too low for comfort. There wasn’t also a dishwasher. The pool hasn’t been properly maintained and, when of our exit from the premises there was already oxidation showing both on the walls as on the bottom. The chloride pills installed six days previously were entirely gone. There wasn’t any warning about the tap water not being potable and, as a result, my wife became ill after two days drinking it. There weren’t any garbage bins, toilet paper nor any disinfection stations in the whole property. Rather odd was also that being the house in Portugal there wasn’t a single Portugueses tv station available. There holidays weren’t a tragedy. They were merely quite bad. It was way too expensive for the quality offered.

Schöne Villa um Ruhe zu finden
Der Weg zur Villa ist ziemlich staubig und steinig (sollte man bei der Buchung eines Mietwagens beachten) Jedoch lohnt sich der Weg, wenn man Ruhe vom stressigen Alltag sucht. Durch die Klimaanlage ist es IM Haus sehr gut auszuhalten und wer kleine Tiere mag, ist abends mit kleinen Geckos in bester Gesellschaft :) Der Hausstand besitzt alles, um sich selbst zu verpflegen und es sich wohl gehen zu lassen. Man muss bedenken, dass Unternehmungen etwas Fahrzeit in Anspruch nehmen. Wir sich dessen bewusst ist, kann hier einen Sehr schönen Urlaub verbringen. Gerne wieder. :)

Tranquilidade no nome e em tudo
O acesso à casa é por uma estrada de terra que fica poeirenta no Verão. Um carro é imprescindível para qualquer deslocação. A casa é bem arejada mas não é muito espaçosa e pode ficar quente por falta de ar condicionado. Para hóspedes portugueses pode ser inconveniente que não haja indicações em Português nem nenhum canal português de televisão; é como se os hóspedes fossem obrigatoriamente da Europa do Norte. À parte isto, vale a pena para quem procura descanso e tranquilidade: a piscina é privativa da casa e é muito convidativa em tempo de calor; os espaços exteriores são bonitos e as vistas agradáveis; a casa está, de um modo geral, bem equipada com tudo o que é preciso; e é realmente um local tranquilo e relaxante para quem procura um Algarve diferente. Gostei da estadia.

Why they chose this property

We love the Algarve, in particular the quiet back land of the Algarve. The situation is perfect. It is close to all amenities like small towns of Tavira, Olhao and Sao Bras, and easy to reach beaches. Yet if we want one can stay away from all of it and relax at the pool. The pool is totally private and nicely warm and shaded in the summer time. The neighbors, all very friendly and mixed nationality are close yet far enough to ensure ones privacy. Sta Catarina is a pleasant foot walk away and offers everything needed, including places to eat out, to have coffee or free wifi.
