Photos and Description of the Ashland vacation house rental

One Of A Kind Property That Was Owned By Artist, Singer & Cowboy Victor Erickson

Come to Ashland 'Where a Lifestyle is Worth Sharing'.

The Erickson House Retreat includes many unique structural enhancements, southwestern decorative trim, as well as some of Victor Erickson's original works of art and furnishings that he built from scratch. We were honored to be able to buy the property from Mr. Erickson in 2012. After leaving Kansas he moved to Colorado where he operated his Ghost Town Art Gallery. We enjoy showing the features of the home to those that wish to make contact with us in advance.

The home includes 2 master bedrooms located at opposite ends of the home for privacy. The east master bedroom includes 1 queen sized bed, 1 single bed and sectional couch with electric massage settings. There is also a desk for writing. Next to the east bedroom is a laundry room with new washer, dryer, deep freeze, shower and toilet.

The west master bedroom features 1 queen sized Aspen log 4 post bed, love seat and desk for writing. Opening from the west bedroom is a full 4 piece bathroom.

The private middle bedroom features 1 queen sized lower bed and 1 single bunk bed on the upper level.

The home includes a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove with oven, dishwasher, disposal, microwave over and other appliances.

The dining room includes a custom built cedar dining table and cow hide upholstered chairs, all made by Victor Erickson.

The living room includes western décor, love seat, leather couch, wood stove and television with a wide selection of videos.

There is a private deck area to the rear of the home with more custom built log furniture and a gas grill for cooking out.

There is covered parking in the carport area for 2 vehicles and extra seating for those that wish to enjoy outdoor conversations.

A metal shop building is available for short term storage of motorcycles, ATVs or other valuable equipment.

The $100 damage - cleaning deposit will be used to return the home to the same condition as it was prior to your arrival. This includes washing bedding, towels and other items, vacuuming floors, cleaning sinks and other fixtures, putting items away, removing trash and other debris. We want your experience to be relaxing and the premises to be neat, clean and orderly.

There is much to see and do in the Gyp Hills area of Kansas. Bring your camera to capture the beauty of this remarkable area of the Sunflower State.

Many come to the area to enjoy nature by visiting the Big Basin Prairie Preserve, or Clark State Fishing Lake while others enjoy the history of the area in establishments such as Buster's in Sun City as featured on Hatteberg's People TV.
