1,280 Sq. Ft, 2 Floor Lakefront Unit With 3 Bedrooms - Sleeps 8
About Richard Miller
The townhouse is co-owned by 2 brothers, one who lives in Vancouver and one in Calgary, and a close friend from Edmonton. We only use the unit when we can, and rent it out for the rest of the time.
Richard Miller purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Richard Miller chose Osoyoos
The Okanagan is one of the best places in Canada to spend your leisure time, and Osoyoos has both charm and spectacular weather. Unlike other places in the Okanagan, Osoyoos' small town setting is stress-free and pleasant, You can be downtown in 5 minutes, find friendly faces at the video store, enjoy a good selection of quality restaurants, and a multitude of fresh fruit and vegetables stands. The property is close to several good golf courses, and over 25 quality wineries, all within a half-hour drive. This property provides a great location next to the lake, and close proximity to the amenities. It is also not right in town, so it is quiet, particularly in the off-season.
What makes this Condo unique
The views from this townhouse are great - from both balconies - and there is lots of room for friends and family. With all the conveniences of home, and luxury amenities, combined with the lake, pool and hot-tub, we enjoy our property, and so do our guests.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great place; wish the hot tub was working
We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples) travelling for an event in the area (Half Corked Marathon, highly recommend) so this property was the perfect size, configuration and location for us. All the bedrooms were spacious and 2.5 baths is a dream with 3 women traveling together. We enjoyed the balcony, BBQ and big dining table for playing games in the evening. Plenty of seating in the living area. The only issue is that we booked this property for 3 reasons: 1 - # of bedrooms; 2 - # of bathrooms; 3 - hot tub, so that we could recover after the race, and the weekend turned out to be rainy and cooler, so the hot tub would have been amazing to relax in and enjoy the property. The water circulation was fixed for a few hours on Saturday (no jets), but it was back out of service again on Sunday, when we were hoping to go for a soak after a day of winery tours. To their credit, the property owner was very responsive to my emails, and I understand that it's not their fault. Overall, I would stay here again.
Thank you. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back next year!
Spacious and comfortable.
Beautifully situated on the shores of Osoyoos Lake. Well managed complex. Owner Stephen always prompt and responsive.
Can’t control the weather
In general the condo was adequate, the basics were all there, and working. After we arrived at the beginning of February the weather turned very cold. The Condo had a Northern view which was lovely, but the wind blew so hard almost every day, that we were afraid that the living room window would break. Because of the wind the master bedroom and en-suite were extremely cold. Thankfully they had electric heaters that we ran all night long. Also there were no furnace vents in this bathroom and with the ceramic tile floor it was cold, cold, as an example my lotion was so cold I could not squeeze it out of the tube. The wind came in through the bathroom vanity, we always had to warm the room with the electric heater long before and during our showers. As well the cold air return for the entire condo was located in the master bedroom. It is a 2 ft. square vent that draws air into the furnace, so any heat that was being blown into the bedroom through the ceiling vents was immediately drawn back out into the furnace before it could possibly warm the room. And as the furnace cycled off the vent made a whining noise, not great to sleep, took quite a bit to get used to.
The complex and condo or lovely. The weather was great and we had a wonderful time. It was especially nice to be able to stay up later with the kids on another floor. The bedrooms are downstairs and the living room and TV are upstairs. The only thing I would have changed is that the dishwasher needs repair or replacement. You either have to rinse the dishes extremely well or just do hand washing. Everything else was great!
We stayed at Village on the Lake in Unit #304 for three winters in a row for 2-3 months. We liked it because it is spacious and bright. It is very comfortable and well-equipped. It is large compared to motel accommodations.
Thanks for the review. I am glad you enjoyed spending your winters in our condo.
