Roatan was rated the #3 Island in the World in the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Awards and featured on CNN, Today Show and many more.

I'm very proud of the 5 STAR RATING and the TOP INFINITY BAY AWARDS my Villa has received from TA for three consecutive years in a row:

• “Top for Excellence' as rated by previous Guests:

• Rated as a “Top Vacation Rental”: and

• Recommended as a “Top Vacation Rental”

The Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort is the most luxurious on West Bay "Tabyana" Beach. The Resort sits on a 3/4 mile of gorgeous natural white sand beach and sparkling crystal clear turquoise waters with excellent diving and snorkeling just 30 yds. off the beach directly in front of the resort. Lounge chairs, beach towels and kayaks are included.

SCUBA DIVERS - The Resort has its own dive and aqua center, beginner or expert, and an 'L' dock right on the premises for excellent diving and snorkeling right in front of the resort and all around the island. As a matter of fact, the renowned Aggressor live aboard dive fleet anchors right in front of the resort for both day and night dives. That tells you something about the quality of the reef.

GOLFERS - The spectacular ocean front 'Black Pearl' 18 hole golf course, designed by the renowned Pete Dye, is a new addition to the island.

My 2br/2ba fully equipped luxury Villa #1405 is in Phase 1 of the resort, 5th bldg from the beach, which is considered beachfront, and is on the top 3rd floor overlooking the pool and away from the noise and music from the palapa bar enabling a restful night's sleep so you're refreshed for your early morning activities.

The Villa is my second home where I spend extended periods of time so I'm very particular on who I have for my guests. It has upgrades and a custom interior decorated with one of a kind wall hangings hand carved by Roatan's famous, or should I say infamous, 'Melvin, the wood carver'. The master bedroom has a king size bed with private balcony and bathroom, the second bedroom has a queen size bed with private bathroom and the sofa in the living room opens to a queen size bed. Cribs can be reserved and meal plans can be purchased which you would pay directly to the resort. The Villa has Wi-Fi, satellite TV and DVD player.

The 'Infinity Pool' with a swim up palapa bar and the on the beach restaurant are the center pieces of the resort. Our new reception building is complete with a buffet style restaurant, spa, business conference center, library, casino and gift shop. There are additional restaurants, palapa bars, coffee shops, deli and small grocery store, car/scooter/bike/DVD rentals and gift shops within close walking distance. Water taxis are available from our 'L' dock in front of the resort which take you to West End, a funky little town, about 5 miles away with more restaurants, bars, grocery and gift shops. You can also walk along the beach to West End. So there's no need to spend extra money renting cars or taking taxis, everything is easily accessible.

The resort is a full service resort with 24-hour front desk, complimentary airport/ferry dock shuttle, activities desk, spa, aqua center, fitness center, security, room and laundry service, in-room phones or you can use Skype from your computer for calls for $02.3/min. At the present time all elevators at the resort are inoperable pending replacement.

United, Delta, American and Avianca Airlines fly from the United States and Central America directly into Roatan. Sunwing also operates charter flights from Canada.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED that although the airfares to Roatan can be a little more costly than the more frequented Caribbean islands, but when you consider the reasonable cost of lodging, food, drink, and activities, the total package is a great deal and you experience paradise like no other island in the Caribbean.

About Owner/Manager

I've traveled the Caribbean extensively over the years and when I found Roatan, I found PARADISE - YOU CAN EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF.

The Villa, is my second home and I'm very discerning on who I have as my guests as I only want guests who will respect and take care of my Villa as I do.

If you elect to be my guest, I make the reservation for you with the Resort in your name, give you your Resort reservation # and arrange for your complimentary airport transportation and crib reservation. I have prepared some visitor's information giving details on the island and the Resort and can be provided with your inquiry or upon request.

Many of my guests become my friends and return each year.

Orkney Islands, United Kingdom

This was our first visit to Roatan and we were lucky enough to stay at Infinity Bay for 11 weeks. We would like to thank Richard the Manager and all the staff as our stay was amazing in so many different ways.

Myself and my husband travelled from Scotland so it took us 3 days to get here on arrival I got an unexpected shoulder and back massage which was well needed and very much appreciated. Check-in was quick and easy. We loved the apartment we had it was spacious, very clean and decorated with lovely local art. The beach is simply stunning white sand, clear water and perfect for snorkelling. When walking into the water you can literally see the fish straight away.

The Infinity Pool is large, well maintained, great for swimming in and nothing beats sitting at the end of the pool watching the world go by with a nice cocktail. The grounds around the resort are immaculately kept. The bar staff were friendly, courteous and great company thanks Steve, Ziggy, Swiss Chocolate and Jorge who looked after us so well. The cocktails are great and the food is excellent, good quality and good value for money our favourites were the Sushi and the Coconut Shrimp but every meal we had we enjoyed. We also cooked in our apartment and the bar staff were so helpful if we ran out of any ingredients they were more than happy to help us out.

My husband went diving and the Infinity Divers Aqua Centre is on site at the hotel which he highly recommends the staff again are very helpful and friendly. As the 2nd largest reef in the world the diving really is exceptional with a vast array of colourful fish, coral, turtles, eels, barracuda, crabs, sea horses, lobsters and much more.

The staff in general are exceptionally friendly, helpful, efficient, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. During our stay we had 2 parcels sent from home and the reception staff were so helpful phoning the post office in Coxens Hole to help us arrange pick up etc as we had no idea how the postal service worked here. A big thanks to Olga from reception and Craig the electrician for helping us get our Sea-do-Scooter batteries charged. Michael was a great help in advising us on different places to go and eat. We would love to come back and visit again as we made many friends here and although we have stayed in many lovely hotels in the Caribbean the Infinity was a 5 star plus experience for us.

We just returned from this paradise and couldn't have been more thrilled. The unit is gorgeous. The perfect location for people with little ones. We have a 2 and 5 year old and were thrilled that the shallow end of the pool was just the perfect depth for them to run around with floaties as we enjoyed a cocktail. ..or two.

The only issue was our own in that we didn't buy enough produce at the grocery store on the way in. We did get pb & j and I'm glad we did. My husband and I would grab baleadas in the morning for us and extra wraps to make for the girls. They were delicious. Next time we will buy more beer, port royal is the closest Canadian option, and lots of fresh lettuce, cucumbers, strawberries and watermelons at Eldon. Eldons really has everything you could need.

All in all we loved it and hope to return soon.

Great time! Great condo

  • 5 of 5

Spent 2 weeks at Rich's Condo.

Rich - Amazing to deal with. Quick to respond and very detailed oriented. As a vacation owner/manager myself, I understand how important this is!

Location - Building 14 is a perfect location for us. NOT to close to the Palapa bar which gets loud at times but right in between. Pool right below. Great views.

Condo- Great size. We traveled with 2 little kids and the 2 bedrooms came in VERY handy. Room was spacious and clean. The resort cleans the rooms every 3 days, which was perfect.

Resort - Infinity has one of the best resorts on the island. the beach is great and the REEF is right in front. Like to snorkel ? don't want to have to swim to far to reach it? Stay here!

Thousands of reviews on Trip advisor if you want more info on the resort.

they are always available and quick to respond to any Maintinance issues or if you need anything. Great benefit.

A couple recommendations:

The kitchenware was a little low but adequate. Easily fixed.

A Tea Kettle would be nice.

Couch cushions are worn. Time to have them re-upholstered.

Overall we had a great time and WOULD DEFINATLY go back!

Beautiful place to visit

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Villa for two weeks for a family trip. Our family rented three villa. We found everything we needed at the villa we rented which was very comfortable and quite spacious. The location was perfect with a lovely view of the pool. The beach was beautiful and there were several places within walking distance to enjoy a good meal! I think our favorites were the La Palapa Beach Bar, Celeste, and the Argentinian Grill. The resort was very clean and the staff could not have been friendlier and helped us with every question we had. During the time we were there, it rained and there were strong winds all but three days since we went there to enjoy the sun and beach activities we were a bit disappointed. Just so happened the weather was unusually cool and raining. Also the roads in Roatan are horrible which made it difficult to get around. Overall it was a great place to visit!

Great villa, even better owner - highly recommend

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this property and had a great vacation at Infinity Bay. The villa was as advertised: very clean and everything in good working order. We did need to call property management one day to tighten a connection on the key card holder and they were super responsive.

The best part of this property is actually the owner. You'll not get better, more responsive service from an owner. We've rented several properties around the world, and thus far, Rich has been the best on details, follow through and for providing additional resources about the area and activities. Rich is very kind and amazingly thorough. Every last detail was attended to before the trip and before we asked.

I recommend taking his suggestions for stopping at the grocery store in town when you land. We went to Eldon's and got everything we needed to stock the fridge for a week without having to make a special trip into town (it's not close by - it's near the airport).

A couple of notes about activities - I highly recommend Infinity Bay's dive shop. They are very fun, friendly and also on top of all the small details to help you plan great dives. If you rent equipment there you can use the masks, snorkels, fins and wet-suits all week when you snorkel on your own as well. You return them at the end of your stay.

The Cayos Cuchinos trip was fine, but I don't recommend using Infinity Bay. Cut your own deal with someone at the dock (lots of choices). IB wanted $180/pp and we paid $107/pp for the same thing with a local guide. HOWEVER, please note that our opinion was that the reef at Infinity bay was actually superior to the reefs we saw at Cayos Cuchinos. Therefore, it's a long way to go for a less spectacular (though good) set of reefs - the locally provided lunch was fantastic though.

We had a great visit to Gambalimba park. Note that you can walk there from the beach and there's a ticket counter at the park ($30/pp at the park, $35/pp from IB but that also includes the drive over if you don't want to walk). I'll write a separate Trip Advisor review on Gambalimba.

I'd recommend skipping the breakfast at Infinity Bay. When we were there in 2014, the breakfast was better. Now it's still ok, but not worth the price. I know Rich (the owner) says he agrees.

Please be sure to try a Monkey Lala (drink) at one of the beach bars other than Infinity Bay. IB had a soso Monkey Lala. After trying a lot of them, I'd probably recommend Cayuco Beach Bar or BananaRama restaurant.

Villa was clean & comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The villa at was clean & comfortable for our family of five. The lighting was beautiful, and the dining area table was very comfortable & large. There was one TV in the living room with English & Spanish channels. I have mixed reviews on Roatan itself, but the Villa was great. I only gave it 4 stars for a few very minor things. It would have been nice to have a few more dishes & things in the kitchen. There were wine glasses, coffee mugs, and plastic cups. No other drinking glasses of any kind, and the plastic cups were well worn & have definitely seen better days. No blender that I could find for smoothies. The coffee maker needs upgrading - it leaks & only makes 10 cups (even though it’s a 12 cup), and the black heating pad is so worn down & chipped it leaves black on the pot. It would have been nice to have a 2nd TV in one of the bedrooms. The patio furniture was well worn in, but comfortable. Overall it was a comfortable Villa, and the beds were great. The AC worked well & housekeeping came every 3 days to refresh things.

I should say that the minor things that I mentioned probably wouldn’t have been noticed as much if we had experienced good weather every day during our stay. Unfortunately over half of our 12 day stay on Roatan was filled with extreme torrential rain, which caused mudslides, some roads washed out & even some houses were washed away. On the worst day the airport was closed, some locals couldn’t leave their homes (if they still had them) because some roads had waist deep water preventing them from going to work. It was horrible for the people living there.

The bad weather had us spending much more time in the condo than we’d hoped for. It should also be noted that to walk from any of the villas to the only indoor Resort restaurant you have to walk outside through the inner courtyard of the grounds to get to that building. At some points during our stay we got absolutely drenched just walking from the villa as quickly as we could to the restaurant building for breakfast because we were literally wading through a foot of flood water, along with the rest of you getting soaked from the torrential rain!

Unlike other Central American countries that we’ve frequently gone to during both the wet & dry seasons, I would never consider returning to Roatan during their rainy season. It was not your typical rain at night/random passing daytime showers that we’ve experienced everywhere else. During dry season... it would be beautiful!

5 Star + Experience

  • 5 of 5

This was an incredible vacation for our family. Rich was there every step of the way with us in organizing the trip, our arrival, and during our stay. He was in contact with us through email with some great advice. His place was in perfect shape and had everything we needed and more. It had really comfortable beds, ample kitchen and cooking space, and perfect location to the beach. The snorkeling is world class and you can walk straight off the beach to see a whole world of fish and coral. We would go back in a second to stay again. Thanks Rich!
