Welcome to an uncommon Ogden vacation rental retreat.

The Royal Eccles Estate is a 7-bedroom, 5-bath, 6,000 square foot mansion in the heart of Ogden, Utah. Built in 1920 and fully modernized in 2013, The Estate is historic without a single sign of wear-and-tear. And you have our “no doily” guarantee!

Instead, we have added every contemporary convenience imaginable. A fully stocked luxury kitchen with black granite counters and stainless steel appliances. SmartTVs (with Netflix) in the bedrooms and the common areas. Whole-house WiFi that can support up to 50 devices at the same time. Private outdoor hot tub for up to 10 people.

You’d never guess this home is a National Historic Landmark celebrating its 95th birthday…until you look closer and spot the impeccable craftsmanship and details like original hardwood floors, ornate tile work, fireplaces and more.


Enjoy a spectacular setting for your big family reunion, or a ski getaway with your friends and their families. We have 7 bedrooms, 5 baths and room for up to 30 people.

There are 4 adult bedrooms, each with either a queen or a king bed with additional sofa beds, plus an optional bunkroom that sleeps 9 in 4 bunk beds (one a full-over-full bunk). Upon receipt of your inquiry, a document will be emailed to you describing the exact breakdown of the number of beds and corresponding locations for your precise planning.

Our beds are worth special mention: We took of care to make them like your own personal cloud with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and deluxe comforters.


With a lovely living room and casual game/cinema room with a pool table, football, Ping Pong and bar area, the Estate gives your large group room to spread out. The kids will probably want to spend their time downstairs in the game room. Meanwhile, adults can watch a movie on the flat-screen in the living area or chat on the luxurious leather sofa and the 8-person dining table.

Or head outside for a memorable outdoor gathering. We sit on a tree-shaded lot just shy of one acre, with generous mountain-views, meticulous landscaping, and plenty of dining and lounge furniture for up to 18 people.

A BBQ grill awaits your burgers. And, of course, the 8-10 person hot tub is a luxurious treat.

Need to switch gears and work a bit? Not a problem. The Estate offers a separate office area away from these common spaces, with a desk and printer/scanner/copier (not to mention the abundant WiFi).


Ogden is a Utah mountain town on the rise. Once a railroad hub at the confluence of the east and west for the Trans-Continental Railroad, Ogden was as essential to American transportation as Boston or San Francisco. After a period of post-railroad decline, Ogden is becoming a new Utah destination 30 minutes from Salt Lake City and an hour from Park City.

Ogden is also near 3 ski resorts, Pineview Reservoir, tons of climbing, bicycling, fly fishing, fine dining and shopping on historic 25th St., and more. We can’t wait to see where Ogden goes next.
