Royal Eccles Estate, Modernized National Historic Landmark.

The Royal Eccles Estate is a 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom (fully functioning!), 5,000 square foot home just 10 blocks East of downtown Ogden, Utah. Built in 1918 and fully modernized in 2013, The Estate is historic yet modernized specifically for your short term vacation.

Instead, we have added every contemporary convenience imaginable. A fully stocked luxury kitchen with black granite counters and stainless steel appliances. SmartTVs (with Netflix) in the bedrooms and the common areas. Whole-house WiFi that can support up to 50 devices at the same time. Private outdoor hot tub for up to 8 people.

You’d never guess this home is a National Historic Landmark getting ready to celebrate its 100th birthday…until you look closer and spot the impeccable craftsmanship and details like original hardwood floors, ornate tile work, fireplaces and more.


Enjoy a spectacular setting for your big family reunion, or a ski getaway with your friends and their families.

There are four main bedrooms each with either a queen or a king bed with additional sofa beds and/or bunk beds and then two additional bedrooms with sofa beds/bunk beds. Upon receipt of your inquiry, a document will be emailed to you describing the exact breakdown of the number of beds and corresponding locations for your precise planning.


With a lovely living room, cinema room and game room our amenities are second to none: pool table, foosball, Ping Pong and bar area, the home gives your large group room to spread out and actually enjoy your vacation. The kids will probably want to spend their time downstairs in the game room and/or party room. Meanwhile, adults can relax and socialize in their own space in the living/dining room and watch a movie and/or socialize between the luxurious leather sectional sofa and the 8-person dining table.

We sit on a tree-shaded lot just shy of one acre, with generous mountain-views and meticulous landscaping as the outdoor space in the back patio is a real treat that offers privacy, a natural gas BBQ grill, plenty of seating (both table and lounge furniture), a chiminea, and the 8 person hot tub.

Need to switch gears and work a bit? Not a problem. The Estate offers a separate office area away from these common spaces, with a desk and printer/scanner/copier.


The house is 25 minutes away from three ski resorts (Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley) and Pineview Reservoir, which offer tons of recreation: climbing, fly fishing, hiking, kayaking and mountain biking. Great options for fine dining and shopping on historic 25th St., and more. We can’t wait to see where Ogden goes next.
